Solution for Iphone4 Problem's (Part2)

Tags: iphone battery

The Iphone 4 is supposed to be the original super phone, the phone that everyone wants and the phone that can stand up to anything.
But what if something does go wrong?
We take a look at the top problems people encounter with the iPhone 4 and how to solve those problems.
Battery
Unfortunately, while Apple’s adverts may claim in answer to every question posed “There’s an app for that” this isn’t the case when it comes to playing detective as to how much battery life each of your applications is using at any given time. Gap in the market, much?
Some Apple haters have always said the device isn’t able to multitask properly. However, it really is. In fact, having multiple apps running in the background goes a long way to wearing your application out. Make sure you close them down when you're not using them.
Of course, turning functions such as Wi-Fi, location services, notifications off and entering Airplane Mode, as well as adjusting screen brightness and background levels will also help ensure you and your iPhone have long and happy times between charges. Steering clear of juice-hungry apps and ones that pull data down are also wise moves.
You could also invest in a battery booster case to cradle your iPhone in to keep the battery alive for longer. Though, at present, many of these cases are bulky and detract from the usability and aesthetics of the device in our honest opinion.
Some users have experienced battery drain after upgrading their software to 4.3. iPhone-tastic website iphonestuffs4u.com offers some good advice as to how to overcome this issue.
It suggests you head to settings > enable restrictions > Enter four-digit passcode> Disable Ping settings.
Alternatively, the advice is to turn the device off then on again, and reset network settings in the general tab of your device.
The reality is, owning your iPhone 4 for a while, the battery will just get tired and start not charging fully as it once did as a young and youthful battery. However, you’ve normally got quite a lot of time with your new best friend before this happens.
Broken/dirty Screen
Many of us have had that sinking feeling where you’re a bit tipsy and your iPhone flies out of your hand for no apparent reason. There’s usually a sharp intake of breath before you check the damage, then a deep sign of relief when you realise your device is scratch free.
Of course, not all of us are so lucky, all of the time. So what to do if your iPhone 4 does crack up quite literally? If you pop into an Apple store they’ll usually fix it for you – be warned though you might get charged quite a bit.
There are non-Apple affiliated places that will also claim to fix the screen for a much lesser rate, but we can’t vouch for such places so users do so at their own risk and on the understanding it most likely invalidates any Apple warranty they have.
Screen protectors are a great invention, but if you’ve just dropped your iPhone and hadn’t already put one on, it would be a bit like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.
If your issue is one more of colour than of breakage, there might be better news for you. Some iPhone 4s have reportedly been purchased with a slightly yellow tinge. Back post-launch, Apple suggested this was a glue that had not completely dried during the manufacturing process and it would dry out of its own accord and right itself soon enough.
So, the answer here, if you’ve just bought your device is to be patient. If your iPhone 4 still looks a bit jaundiced after a few weeks, take it back to the store and ask for a new one.
Death grip/signal issues
It was an ironic and not exactly good PR move when Apple launched the iPhone 4 to much fanfare last year, only for users not to be able to use it to make calls and such like thanks to signal dropping out. The name death grip was soon coined to describe what others now affectionately refer back to as antenna gate.
The initial word from Steve Jobs et all was that users should hold their iPhones in a certain way. Those holding their phone upside down or against their nose rather than their mouths have probably got bigger issues to deal with rather than just a non-working device. For the majority of users, holding their phone as you normally do, the death grip issues were more than a little frustrating.
