Lacoste might not yet be synonymous with urbanwear – or even footwear for that matter – but their new Explorateur trainer most definitely takes its inspiration from the streets. And we rather like them!
The new Lacoste Explorateur is built with the city-dweller in mind. As Lacoste say, ‘every day is an adventure and every night is a marathon,’ and the Explorateur is a dynamic silhouette engineered to survive any and all challenges that might come its way.
Taking inspiration from a classic archived tennis-shoe silhouette, the Explorateur comes in Black or White colourways. While it’s reimagined from the archive, the trainer features plenty of contemporary updates, including a soft-shell upper executed in a sporty nylon and a mudguard built to help explorers brave the elements.
It also features a stitched and supportive cupsole construction which sits alongside the technical court ready silhouette for a grand slam finish. To finish things off, the textile and rubber bonded upper – with classic lace-ups – features the croc branding on the side.
The Lacoste Explorateur is available now from various stockists including Dune and Foot Asylum where a pair in Black or White will set Joes back around £75.
