Best Independence Day Events in London 2019

It’s the 4th of July this Thursday but you don’t need to be the US to celebrate. Independence Day in London is a massive occasion with plenty of events and parties going on all over the capital. So from classic American diners and bars to parties and screenings, we’ve put together our pick of the best places to celebrate American Independence Day in London this July 4th!

Ultimate Fourth Of July Party @ Dinerama

Location: 19 Great Eastern Street, EC2A 3EJ.
Nearest Tube: Old Street

Street Feast’s Dinerama is the place to be if you’re after some top notch street food with your star spangled festivities. French’s mustard and Frank’s hot sauce will be collaborating with your favourite Street Feast traders as Dinerama turns red, white and blue for an epic Independence Day party. The legendary RedHot wing eating competition is back, as are the RedHot cheerleaders, while live music, beer pong and an ultimate foosball table will keep you entertained. Advanced tickets are £12 and include a free Goose Island American Pale Ale on entry.

July 4th @ Roadhouse

Location: Jubilee Market, Covent Garden, 35 The Piazza, WC2E 8BE.
Nearest Tube: Covent Garden

As always, Covent Garden’s Roadhouse will be one of the livelier venues this 4th July with American decorations, drinks and food specials. The Jim Beam sponsored Independence Day party will comes complete with games and entertainment throughout the night, including beer pong and special American themed live music from The Tide. Happy Hour runs from 5.30pm – 10pm and entry is free before 12am.

All-American Independence Day Party @ Liquorette

Location: 6 Rathbone Place, W1T 1HL.

If you’ve not come across Liquorette before, it’s time to pay attention. As well as being London’s first online cocktail ordering service, their bar in Fitzrovia is also one of the best cocktail joints in London. They’re also throwing an all-American party this 4th July. Partnering with Kentucky native Four Roses bourbon, Liquorette will be hosting a night with delicious hot dogs, refreshing Hard Lemonade cocktails and Liquorette’s New York-inspired five star pizzas.

Independence Day Screening @ Granary Square

Location: 1 Granary Square, N1C 4AA.

As it’s Independence Day, what could more appropriate than a screening of the Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum classic? Well, that’s exactly what’s going on at Granary Square’s outdoor cinema. Everyman Cinema hosts the Summer Love Festival, which shows films for free on the canalside steps. On 4th July, grab yourself a bean bag to watch the 1996 sci-fi film Independence Day.

4th of July Party @ NOLA

Location: 107 Roman Road, Globe Town, E2 0QN.
Nearest Tube: Bethnal Green

Inspired by the tastes and culture of New Orleans, Louisiana, NOLA was once voted one of the best cocktails bars in the world and this 4th July they’re going to wearing their stars and stripes with pride. The Cajun and Creole kitchen will be open and this year you can expect live music from Cash Cows, £5 Maker’s Mark Bourbon Cocktails and killer Po’Boys. Tickets are £10 per person and include entry and a boozy welcome cocktail on arrival.

‘Independents Day’ Whiskey Tasting @ Ignition Brewery

Location: Ignition Brewery, 44A Sydenham Road, SE26 5QX.

If you’re after something more low key, Sydenham’s Ignition Brewery will be turning their attention to American whiskey for Independence Day. Yes, guests will celebrate 4th July by tasting 4-5 drams from independent distilleries and boutique bottlers from the States. Tickets are £21.50 and include an American Whiskey cocktail on entry, all your tastings and some American snacks to ensure you don’t go famished.

All American Week @ Balthazar London

Location: 4-6 Russell Street, Covent Garden, WC2B 5HZ.

But if you can’t wait until Balthazar London are celebrate Independence Day with an All American Week. Balthazar’s now-famous ‘Independence Day Dog’ returns to the menu with a combination of Toulouse sausage and BBQ beef Cross Rib in a home-made bread roll, topped with Comté cheese and crispy shallots. A range of US-inspired Maker’s Mark cocktails will also be on offer throughout the week, while American-inspired party-sized pies will be freshly-baked to order.
