Razer Viper Ultimate Price
The Razer Viper Ultimate price is now $149.99. The wireless gaming mouse is now available on online stores like Amazon, eBay, Best Buy, Walmart, and a couple of other smaller gaming accessory merchant websites.
Razer Viper Ultimate Design
The style of the Razer Viper Ultimate is a step more aggressive than we have seen on other models of gaming mice from the top gaming accessory brand. The Viper Ultimate comes with a logo at the back that is with RGB lighting. It has a low back, it comes with a charging cradle that also has RGB lighting, and these lightings are customizable.
The quality of the build is one of the best things about this gaming mouse. I didn’t notice any type of wobbling or rattling noise when using the mouse, it’s pretty lightweight at 75g, the mouse glides smoothly across the gaming desk and I didn’t experience any discomfort or struggle with the clicks. I loved how the scroll wheel comes with an incremented design, the feedback is great and is a great option for scrolling through long pages fast. The Razer Viper Ultimate comes in a sturdy, top-quality build, which is one of the first few things I look out for in any gaming mouse.
I didn’t like that while the mouse is lightweight, it doesn’t come with settings to adjust the weights. So if you are looking at getting a heavy gaming mouse, or one with customizable weights, the Razer Viper Ultimate isn’t your deal.
The mouse is housed in a matte black exterior, the exterior has a slick, grippy plastic, and the scroll wheel felt comfortable on the fingers with a little bit of resistance, so the scroll is neither too fast nor too slow. The ergonomic design of the gaming mouse makes it a great option for users who spend long periods gaming.
The Razer Viper Ultimate is a gaming mouse designed for both right and left-handed users; in fact, it comes with an option in the software that allows you easily swap user modes from right to left hand.
Overall, the Viper Ultimate, its 8 programmable buttons, it’s being a wireless gaming mouse with an option to use it in wired mode, its support for a charging dock that makes recharging seamless, its ease of use and ergonomic support all add up to make this gaming mouse one of the best we’ve seen from Razer.
Razer Viper Ultimate Performance
The Viper Ultimate comes with a minimum sensitivity of 100 DPI and a maximum of 20000 DPI. It has a mouse polling rate of 1000Hz and a liftoff distance of around 1.2mm. On the battery front, we noticed that the Viper Ultimate drains very slowly. On the test, we used the gaming mouse for almost one week, from making it our driver for work to making it carry the load of my heavy gaming sessions, the Viper Ultimate holds up just fine.
The scroll wheel is clickable, there are two programmable buttons on both sides, and you have the traditional left and right-click buttons. What I noticed though, was that you can only customize the four buttons on the sides. I didn’t like this about the mouse because it limits the option for any gamer who needs abilities and macros that go beyond those four buttons.
I can say though, that all the buttons felt satisfying and precise on the click, they weren’t too sensitive or too hard to press, and they register every time you click them. For my test, I used the Razer Ultimate for Fortnite, PUBG, and COD and it performed well.
The Viper ultimate has one of the widest DPI ranges I have seen on a gaming mouse. The mouse is very accurate when used in fast motion but I noticed that there was around a 5% deep in the DPI when using the gaming mouse in slower motion.
Other stand-out features of the mouse include its HyperSpeed Wireless tech which provides lesser latency, its 650 inches per second tracking speed, and its beautiful tracking all added up to make this one of the best-performing wireless gaming mice on the market.
Razer Viper Ultimate Battery Life
The Razer Viper Ultimate comes with a 70-hour battery life. On our test, the gaming mouse ran non-stop for almost one week of using it for heavy gaming and work interchangeably. So I’ll give it a pass on that front. I should also add that Razer has touted the gaming mouse to deliver 5 hours of wireless playtime when you charge the gaming mouse for just 10 minutes with the charging dock.
Razer Viper Ultimate Charging Dock
You can use the charging dock to recharge your mouse battery fast. You can also use it to extend the reach of the USB wireless dongle. The charging dock is also designed to work with Razer Synapse, and that makes it possible to check the battery status as you charge the mouse.
Razer Viper Ultimate Software / Driver for Windows and macOS
With the Razer Synapse 3 software, you’d be able to reconfigure and reassign the buttons. The software is very simple to use, you can change the color of the RGD light on the Razer logo on the mouse and the RGB lighting from the charging dock.
The Razer Synapse 3 software is compatible with Windows, but we noticed some buttons aren’t working when we tried the macOS download option. An example of this was the buttons on the right side of the mouse not working when using the mouse in right-handed mode. We were only able to fully enjoy the customization options when using the software on our Windows 10 PC.
The software also makes it possible to save your preferred settings on the onboard memory, and after setting the mouse, you will be able to game with it on other computers and gaming consoles without needing to redo the settings every time.
