Huawei has been known for bringing out smartphones with new and revolutionary technologies. The recently launched Huawei P20 lineup of smartphones is an excellent example. The Huawei P20 Pro was the first smartphone in the world to sport a triple rear camera setup. The company is now reportedly working on taking things further in terms of screen estate with the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 lineup of smartphones.

The Huawei Mate 20 lineup will be launched somewhere by the end of the year 2018 and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, as per a report by a South Korean publication, The Bell, will sport a massive 6.9-inch OLED display.

The report states that Huawei has ordered 6.9-inch OLED panels from Samsung Display and the company is tipped to be making use of them for smartphones that would be launched in Q4 of 2018 or Q1 of 2019.

The Huawei Mate 20, on the other hand, will feature the usual 6.1-inch display just like the Huawei P20 Pro.



The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is tipped to sport a 6.38-inch OLED screen and this is probably Huawei’s take on the upcoming fleet of big-screen flagships.

Under the hood, we are going to get the latest flagship Kirin 980 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage variants.



The Mate 20 Pro appeared on the Geekbench database in April and gave out a massive score of 356,819.

As of now, there is not much of an intel on the device. That said, we are going to get a lot of news on the same as the device launch approaches.
