Instagram for Android has recently got updated. After the update (188.8.131.52.95), users will be able to upload as many as 10 media items as their stories in one go.
You can select either photos or videos or both and upload them as your story after the update, thereby saving all the hassle to upload them one-by-one. This can come in handy particularly when one has to upload a lot of media as their story.
Using the new feature, you can upload multiple media items and edit them separately with GIFs, texts, filters, stickers, and pretty much everything you can do until now.
Additionally, the app will also be able to read the image’s GPS coordinates and suggest location tags for the images. Unfortunately, the same cannot be done with the videos as they don’t save any location info.
For those who keep a score between the ever popular fight between Instagram and Snapchat, you can add one more point in Instagram’s court. Snapchat is certainly falling behind the competition as Instagram has constantly been pushing new and productive updates every now and then.
Recently, the app pushed the Focus feature that enables the users to upload portrait selfies from right within the app itself. The feature has been rolled out to the devices which have the support for portrait selfies natively and has been liked by a lot of users. The addition of the bulk media upload option with the new update rollout is yet another milestone the app has achieved.
