While being announced at the Future Games Show, and revealing the teaser trailer, we only got a rough expected release date for the game. The Precinct is set to be released somewhere in 2024. Yes, there still is some time for the game to be released and enjoyed.

This top-down police game is being developed by Fallen Tree Games LTS. In the publishing scene, Kwalee is the publisher of the game.

The Precinct – Gameplay

You get to play as Officer Nick Cordell Junior who has just got out of the police academy. You have been placed on the frontlines of the police force and it’s your job to maintain law and order in the city of Averno. The game is set in the 1980s and you have a lot of crimes that need to be solved and criminals that need to stop. You go from car chases to helicopter searches to stop these criminals.

While on duty, you are also tasked with solving one important crime: You have to solve the mystery of how your father was murdered. The cop chases and scenes in the game will give you a nice throwback to the older cop chase movies from the 80s. You have varying degrees of crimes to solve such as parking infractions, drug dealing, bank heists, and even street racing. The game also has an interesting weather system that changes between day and night.

The Precinct Game Platforms and Multiplayer Support

The Precinct is a single-player-only game and will not have any type of online or multiplayer elements. Speaking with regards to the game’s availability, you will be able to enjoy the game on PC, PlayStation 5, and on the Xbox Series X. Older generation console owners will not be getting the game.

The Precinct System Requirements

Even though the game will be available for PC users via Steam, the developers of the game have not revealed the system requirements.
