OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series finally get stable Android 12 Update

OnePlus has already joined the race for the Android 13 update a few weeks back. But some Oneplus phones are yet to receive the Android 12 update, including the flagship phone series from 2019. A year after the release of Android 12, OnePlus has started rolling out the stable Android 12 based OxygenOS 12 update for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series.

The Open beta testing for the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro also started late, resulting in further delays in the stable update. Both the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7T series are flagship phones of their time, yet users had to wait a year to get the update.

This has been the case with most Android based OEMs. Leaving all the complaints aside, Android 12 finally comes to the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro. And as per the OnePlus update policy, this could be the last major update for both the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7T series.

Android 12 based OxygenOS 12.1 comes with various improvements and some new features. The update for the OnePlus 7 series comes with the build number H.28 and for the OnePlus 7T series the update comes with the build number F.16. Update size may vary per model and the build you are coming from.

So far, OnePlus hasn't officially shared anything regarding the update on the forum. But OnePlus users have reported that they are now getting the stable Android 12 update. This might not be an interesting update for many users as it is more like a ColorOS update than an OxygenOS update.
