5 Phones under 15000 with the Fastest Processor

Looking to buy a Smartphone with the best performance?

Your search ends here. Today, I bring you 5 Phones under Rs. 15000 with exceptional performance.

A lot of people prefer a phone with good performance while some other will give preference to brand value, good camera or a phone with long-lasting battery. For me, the performance of a device is the most important factor. Nobody likes a phone that lags, right?

A Processor is the heart of an electronic device and in phones, the processor is generally embedded in a SOC (System-On-Chip). So, the processor not only affects the performance, but it also affects the battery performance, gaming performance, and the general user experience.

The Digital Signal Processor, the Image Sensor Processor, and a lot of other stuff is the part of the SOC and no matter what action you perform on a phone, everything will take place within the SOC. Hence, it is important to get a phone with the most advanced and fast processor out there.

Realme 1

The Oppo Realme 1 is a different kind of device by Oppo in which they are offering a really good value for money (Yes, this is happening for the first time!). What makes it even better is the fact that its price starts at less than Rs. 10000 and yet it is offering better performance than any other phone under Rs. 15000.

So, what makes it so special? The Realme 1 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 Processor. The Helio P60 is manufactured with TSMC’s 12nm FinFET Process. This also makes it the most battery efficient processor under Rs. 15000. Coming to its performance, it has the ARM’s Cortex-A73 Cores which are very powerful and they are clocked at a max frequency of 2.0 GHz.

It comes with the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU which has a decent performance. Mali-G72 MP3 is not as powerful as the Adreno 509 of Snapdragon 636 but it is good enough to handle heavy games like PUBG Mobile.

Redmi Note 5 Pro

The Redmi Note 5 Pro came in the Indian market with a storm and it didn’t take long to disrupt the mid-range segment. This phone is a complete all-rounder, it not only offers great performance but also has a good camera and amazing battery life.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Processor. Snapdragon 636 has Kryo 260 CPU which consist of custom Cortex-A73 and Cortex-A53 cores. The maximum CPU frequency is 1.8 GHz which makes it slightly weaker than Helio P60 (considering both have the same CPU Cores underneath).

According to Tech News With Me, Snapdragon 636 is the 7th fastest Snapdragon Processor currently. It has scored 100 points on the TN Mark. It is manufactured using the 14nm FinFET Process which is extremely power efficient but the Helio P60 still has an edge here. Lastly, its Adreno 509 Graphics Processing Unit is quite good and delivers better performance than the Helio P60.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is a really good competitor to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. And what makes things even better is the fact that its price is less than that of Redmi Note 5 Pro. It has a decent camera and a massive 5,000 mAh Battery. The camera is good but not on the same level as the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

This one also has the Snapdragon 636 Processor. That means you’ll never get irritated because of a phone that is slow or a phone that lags. So, as both the phone have the same chip, which one to pick? I will make it easy for you.

Go for Redmi Note 5 Pro if you need an excellent camera and a good battery life. But for excellent battery life and a good camera, choose the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.

Lenovo Z5

The Lenovo Z5 was one of the most hyped phones of 2018. There were some rumors that it will come with 4 TB Storage and a bezel-less display. Unfortunately, the actual phone turned out to be completely different than what the leaks suggested. Yes, it is bezel-less but it also has a notch and the screen-to-body ratio is 83.6%. Even though it offers a great value for money, I was not all that impressed by this phone after hearing all those leaks over the past few weeks.

This is yet another phone that is powered by the Snapdragon 636. So, in terms of performance, you’ll get the same experience as the Redmi Note 5 Pro & Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. It comes with a 3,300 mAh battery which is decent but not as good as the other phones in this list. But if you prefer a phone that looks more like the iPhone X, the Lenovo Z5 is for you.

Some of the best things about Z5 is its Rear Camera, USB Type-C Port, and 6 GB RAM.

Lenovo K8 Note

The Lenovo K8 Note is probably the most underrated phone under the Rs. 15000 bracket. Even though it is not as good as its competitors, the performance of K8 Note is quite good.

It has the MediaTek Helio X23 Processor which is a Deca-Core Processor and is manufactured using the 20nm Process. It has 3 CPU clusters and the fastest one consists of Cortex-A72 CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz. Even with the high CPU frequency, it is not as good as Snapdragon 636 and Helio P60 because of the fact that the Cortex-A73 CPUs are better than Cortex-A72 ones.

Also, in terms of efficiency, it is no match for SD636 and Helio P60. But yes, it delivers far better performance than other processors in this range (Snapdragon 625 and 450). Coming to the GPU, it is powered by the ARM Mali-T880 MP4 and is clocked at a frequency of 780 MHz. The GPU is decent but not too good to compare with Adreno 509 or Mali-G72.

Final Words

I hope this little discussion helps you to pick the right phone which delivers extreme performance. My first preference is the Helio P60 while my second choice is Snapdragon 636.

I also understand that many people here will not be too confident about the Helio P60 given that it is a MediaTek Processor. Trust me, the Helio P60 is a different kind of processor and it doesn’t have those issues of the entry-level MediaTek Processors. But if you still give preference to Snapdragon, it is completely alright. Even I always give preference to Snapdragon over MediaTek.

If I had to pick the best phone from the above list, I’ll either choose the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro or the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
