Apple Studio Display shortages mean 6-8 week delays for delivery

Consumers are struggling to get their hands on the new Apple Studio Display.

The display, which launched alongside the Mac Studio a few months ago, is facing supply constraints around the world, with Apple reportedly struggling to keep up with demand. Right now, the entry-level model is available to be purchased for late July/early August shipping, whilst some other models are facing even longer delays.

For example, if you purchase any of the Apple Studio Display models on the Apple website today, including the VESA mount adapter model and tilt and height-adjustable model, you’ll need to wait around 8-10 weeks for delivery. There have been separate reports that Apple is further pushing back these delivery estimates when consumers purchase the device, suggesting some underlying issues with supply.

It’s a similar story for those looking to pick up their new Apple Studio Display from their local Apple Store: most stores in the United States and the United Kingdom are showing zero stock, and those that do have the high-end spec Studio Display rather than the entry-level model.

Alongside the shortage of new stock, resellers have been listing new Apple Studio Displays for far above their retail value. Indeed, some “new” Apple Studio Displays are selling for more than $3,000 as consumers and professionals looking to get their hands on a new screen without waiting for months.
