Actionable Tips to Consider

Choose the right pods

Your TPP X Pod can now hold a generous 5.5ml of your beloved e-liquid. Yep, you heard that right – it’s an upgrade from the older PnP pods that could only handle 4.5ml. What does this mean for you? 

Fewer annoying refills! More e-liquid in your pod means longer and more enjoyable vaping sessions. Less fuss, more fun! No more wrestling with your pod to fill it up. 

So, the TPP-DM2, 0.2Ω coil is perfect if you prefer a milder vaping experience, running between 40-60 Watts. It’s easy on your e-liquid consumption. 

TPP-DM3, 0.15Ω coil, on the other hand, if you’re all about those high-wattage vaping vibes (80-100 Watts), this is the coil for you. It’s the perfect match for a 21700 battery and delivers that warm, intense vape experience you crave. 

Filling the pod

• Begin by identifying the open button at the top of your TPP-X Pod-Tank. 
• Gently push it in and simultaneously slide the top ring of the tank clockwise. 
• Once the fill port is exposed, lift the rubber tab carefully. 
• Carefully pour your chosen e-liquid into the fill port. 
• Fill it up to your preferred level, but make sure not to overfill.
• After filling, it’s crucial to let the e-liquid soak into the coil and wick. 
• Allow the TPP-X Pod-Tank to sit for approximately 5 minutes. 
• Once the soaking time is complete, gently re-fit the rubber tab over the fill port. 

Although the 810 removable drip tip is pretty awesome and allows you to use your own, there’s a slight limitation to be aware of. You can only use drip tips with external o-rings, which might be a bit disappointing for some. 

Personally, I would have preferred if they included an o-ring inside the top of the drip tip recess. This way, vapers could have even more options for custom drip tips. But I’m guessing the design choice was made for specific reasons, even though it may seem a bit limiting.

Airflow Control

Rotating the Control Ring

First things first, check out the 360-degree airflow adjustment ring around the top of your VooPoo Drag X Pro. Whether you prefer a tight draw or something airier, this ring has got you covered. And the best part? Adjusting it is smoother than a fresh bottle of e-liquid. The resistance feels just right, so you don’t have to worry about your airflow changing accidentally while it’s chilling in your bag or pocket. 

Clicking Positions

As you rotate that control ring, you’ll notice it clicks into various positions. These positions are your ticket to fine-tuning your airflow to your exact liking. Each click represents a different airflow setting, so you can easily find that sweet spot that suits your vaping style.

Finding Your Sweet Spot

Experiment with the control ring by trying out different positions and vaping at each setting. Do you like it wide open for big clouds, or do you prefer a tighter draw for more intense flavor? It’s all up to you! Remember, the airflow isn’t just about vapor production; it can significantly impact the taste of your e-liquid too. 

Don’t worry; it’s not a deal-breaker. Some coils may do it, while others won’t. It’s a bit of a hit or miss. But hey, the TPP coils offer excellent wicking capabilities, which can increase the chances of this happening. 

Wattage Settings of VooPoo Drag X Pro

Wattage Adjustment

1. Find the button: It’s typically located on the side of the device, often labeled with “+” and “-” symbols. 
2. Adjusting wattage: Use the “+” and “-” buttons to increase or decrease the wattage. The VooPoo Drag X Pro usually allows for adjustments in single-watt increments, making it easy to fine-tune your vape. 
3. Experiment: Play around with different wattage settings to see how they affect your vaping experience. Higher wattages can deliver more vapor and intensified flavor, while lower settings may provide a cooler, smoother vape. 
4. Locking the wattage: Once you’ve dialed in your ideal wattage, you can lock it in to prevent accidental adjustments.

Device Control

• Powering On and Off: To power it up for the first time or after fully turning it off, simply press the fire button five times rapidly. You’ll see the device come to life on the screen. When it’s time to power down your device, repeat the same process by pressing the fire button five times. 
• Locking the Device: If you want to lock your VooPoo Drag X Pro temporarily, press the fire button three times quickly. This way, you won’t accidentally adjust any settings while on the go. 
• Clearing the Puff Counter: If you ever want to reset the puff counter, press and hold both the fire button and the down button simultaneously. It’s like wiping the slate clean for your vaping journey.
• Configure Switch/Change Modes: To toggle between different modes or configure your device, simply hold down both the up and down buttons simultaneously. This action will open up a world of options for you, allowing you to fine-tune your vaping experience.

Charging the Device

Charging your Voopoo Drag X is a piece of cake, here’s how do it: 

• Make sure you have a compatible 18650 battery with a continuous discharge rating of at least 30 amps. 
• On the bottom of your Voopoo Drag X, you’ll notice an arrow indicating the direction to push the bottom cover. 
• Gently push it in that direction to reveal the battery compartment.
• Take your prepared 18650 battery and insert it into the compartment. 
• With the battery securely in place, close the battery cover. It should click into position, holding the battery snugly inside the device.

Keep an eye on the battery indicator displayed on the screen. It will show the charging progress. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator will read “100%,” and your screen will display a message indicating that the charge cycle is complete.

If it’s not charging, try a different USB-C cable. USB cables can wear out over time. Charge through your computer and make sure the cable’s arrow faces the bottom of the mod. If it still won’t charge, consider charging the battery externally or replacing it.

Cleaning and Maintenance

First, apply a few drops of your e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton areas of the coil. This helps the cotton absorb e-liquid and prevents dry hits. Wait for a few minutes to allow the coil to soak up the e-liquid thoroughly.

Keep an eye on the top section of your device. Fortunately, it’s pretty well sealed. Wipe it with a tissue to remove any accumulated e-liquid. This quick step prevents the e-liquid from pooling up and coming out of the airflow.

Wipe down the exterior of the device with a clean, slightly damp cloth to remove any e-liquid residue or fingerprints. Inspect the buttons and screen for any buildup.

How to Properly Priming the Coil

First off, take a look at your coil and see if you can spot those wicking areas. Many coils have these little holes on the outside housing, and you’ll notice some white cotton wicking material inside. What you want to do is drop a bit of your vape liquid into each of those holes. Just do it gently, and make sure to rotate back to each one until you see that they’re looking ‘damp.’

When you install a new TPP coil in your device, it’s essential to prime it before firing it up. To do this, apply a few drops of your e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton areas of the coil. This helps the cotton absorb e-liquid and prevents dry hits.

Once that’s done, be patient and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. You want that coil to soak up all that tasty juice. Take 3-5 quick, sharp inhalations without pressing the button. This helps draw the vape liquid through the coil and ensures it’s fully soaked and ready for action. 

But here’s a little tip: don’t go overboard with those sharp draws; we don’t want to flood the coil with too much liquid by accident. So, keep it steady, and you’ll be vaping like a pro!

Battery Management

In keeping that Drag X Pro battery in tip-top shape, the first thing to remember is to charge it smartly. Grab the USB-C cable that came with your kit and use a charger that’s meant for your device.

Avoid scavenging random chargers because they might not play nice with your battery.

You’ve got options here. Your VooPoo Drag X Pro can rock either an 18650 or 21700 battery. Stick to these buddies and make sure they’re in good shape.

If you’re taking a break from vaping for a while, don’t forget your battery. Store it with a partial charge, ideally around 50%. Oh, and keep it away from extreme temps – your battery doesn’t like to be too hot or too cold.

How to Troubleshoot

Sometimes, things don’t go as smoothly as we’d like. If you run into problems, here’s what you can do:

• If it’s leaking, check that the filling hole on the pod’s bottom is closed tightly. Inspect the coil – if the gaskets are misaligned, realign them. If they’re stretched or damaged, replace the coil.
• If your coils are burning out too fast, lower your wattage or use unsweetened e-liquid. Sweeteners can gunk up coils.
