TL;DR: Why The VooPoo Drag X Pro Wins…

I’ve got to hand it to Voopoo – they’ve really stepped up their game with the Drag X Pro. It’s like they’ve taken their pod mods to a whole new level, and now it’s giving those sub-ohm tanks and single battery mods a run for their money.

I mean, with a maximum wattage of 100W, you’ve got all the power you need for some serious sub-ohm vaping. And guess what? Bigger clouds are on the menu, too. But the best part? The flavor is top-notch, especially when you’re rocking the DM2 0.20Ω coil. So, no compromises there.

Now, if you’re rocking the first-gen Drag X and wondering whether it’s time to make the leap to the Drag X Pro, let me break it down for you. You’re getting 21700 battery compatibility, a beefed-up 100W power output, an 8.5V limit, a roomier tank, a sleeker design, improved MTL capabilities, and more.

It’s basically a whole new device that’s laser-focused on nailing the pod mod experience. Trust me, this upgrade is worth every bit. So, don’t hesitate – check out the Drag X Pro and take your vaping game to the next level!

VooPoo Drag X Pro vs. GeekVape Aegis Nano:  In depth

VooPoo Drag X Pro design

First off, the main casing is still rocking that sturdy zinc-alloy frame with a leather touch on the back, but the embossing pattern has had a bit of a makeover. Nothing too drastic though, just a little different vibe.

It’s got that perfect mix of classy and comfy. And guess what? They’ve kept that snazzy color screen showing all your vaping settings and real-time info. The zinc alloy chassis is polished so well it’s almost fancy-looking.

And that leather-like texture? It’s like holding a cozy cushion. So, VooPoo’s really stepped up the game to make sure it not only looks good but feels fantastic in your hand too.

GeekVape Aegis Nano design

Now, what’s up with the IP67 rating? Well, you won’t find that here. Geekvape called it “Tri-proof technology” instead. It basically means this bad boy can handle three things like a champ: splashes and water, dust, and shocks.

Its ergonomic design ensures a comfortable and secure grip, whether you’re vaping at home or on the go. It’s a vape device that you can hold for extended periods without discomfort.

But what’s really neat is the compact size. It’s small enough to fit comfortably in my pocket, and that’s a big deal. I don’t want to lug around a bulky device when I’m out and about.

Performance

VooPoo Drag X Pro

So, I’ve been getting cozy with the DM3 0.15Ω coil lately. This one’s designed for some high wattage action, like in the range of 80-100W. Right at the top end of what the Drag X Pro can handle. What’s interesting is that Voopoo decided to throw in this high-power coil instead of one for lower wattages. I appreciate that because it gave me a chance to really push the Drag X Pro to its limits.

So, how did it perform, you might ask? Well, I’d say it held up pretty well, but there was a little snag. In Smart mode, it kind of capped me at 80W. The coil’s resistance was bang on at 0.15Ω, but it seems like because the DM1 coil, rated for 60-80W, also sports the same resistance, it sort of locked the power to that range.

Nevertheless, the flavor is pretty solid, and you’ll be blowing some serious clouds. It might not win any awards for flavor at 100W, but it’s still very satisfying.

GeekVape Aegis Nano

When it comes to GeekVape devices, especially those in the Aegis series, I’ve gotta say, they’re built like tanks. I mean, I’ve put them through some tough conditions, and they’ve come out unscathed.

Accidental drops? No big deal. Exposure to the elements? They can handle it. It’s like having a vaping sidekick that’s always up for an adventure.

With GeekVape, I get to be the boss of my vaping experience. I can tweak settings like wattage and temperature control to match exactly how I like it. It’s like having a personalized barista for my vape, making sure every puff is just right.

Battery life? Oh, they’ve got that covered too. Especially with their larger mods, I can go for hours without worrying about recharging. It’s like having an extra-long playlist for my vaping sessions—no interruptions.

User Experience

VooPoo Drag X Pro

I’ve got to mention the airflow control too. These included coils are more geared toward direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping, but if you want to explore the full potential of your Drag X Pro, grabbing some MTL coils is a good idea. Even without them, I tried closing down the airflow on the 0.20Ω coil just to see what would happen. Surprisingly, even with a coil meant for DTL vaping, it wasn’t a bad MTL experience.

One big thumbs-up goes to this tank – no leaks! It seems that past Voopoo tanks had a reputation for leaking, but this time around, the bottom of these coils and my airflow control stayed bone dry throughout my use.

Overall, the Drag X Pro is a reliable pod mod. It’s pretty clever in identifying the resistance of the coil you’re using and setting the wattage limits accordingly. I can’t blame it for not distinguishing between two 0.15Ω coils; that wouldn’t be fair.

It’s especially great for new vapers, taking away the worry of whether you’re vaping at the right wattage. When you’re just starting, there’s already a bunch of stuff to learn, and the most important thing is ditching those cigarettes.

GeekVape Aegis Nano

GeekVape devices are a real lifesaver for someone like me. I’m not the most graceful person, and I’ve had my fair share of drops and spills.

And the customizability? Oh boy, it’s like having my own vaping playground. I can tweak settings, adjust wattage, and experiment with different coils to create a vaping experience that’s uniquely mine.

Battery life? GeekVape got me covered there too. Especially with their larger mods, I can go on vaping marathons without constantly checking the battery. No interruptions, just pure vaping bliss.

So, if you’re a bit clumsy, love outdoor adventures, and want a vaping experience that’s as unique as you are, GeekVape is the way to go. Trust me; I’ve put it through the clumsy test, and it’s a champ.

All About Preferences

Choose VooPoo Drag X Pro if:

  • You desire a stylish, rugged design with durable construction.
  • If you prefer customizable vaping experiences with versatile resistance options are important to you.
  • If you want long-lasting battery life and the option for larger battery sizes are your priorities.

Choose GeekVape Aegis Nano if:

  • If you’re often on the move or in outdoor settings where your device might take a few hits, GeekVape’s ruggedness is a valuable asset.
  • If you love fine-tuning your vaping experience, adjusting wattage settings, and exploring different coils.
  • If you enjoy extended vaping sessions without frequent recharging interruptions.

It all boils down to what matches your vaping style and lines up with your preferences. While both brands provide top-notch options, I’m firmly in favor of Drag X Pro in this showdown.
