Motorola launched its second phone in the Edge 50 series in India today, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. The Edge 50 Pro was the first phone in this series, launched in India in March. The Edge 50 Fusion is the successor to the Edge 40 Neo, launched in September last year. The Edge 50 Fusion starts at ₹22,999, and for the price, the phone has an impressive spec sheet.

Design-wise, the Edge 50 Fusion looks similar to the recently launched Moto G series phones from the rear. There are two cameras on the back, and the material used on the rear is different for each color. The Forest Blue color has a PMMA material, the Hot Pink color has a Vegan Suede material, and the Marshmallow Blue color has a Vegan Leather material on the rear.

On the front, the phone has a curved display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is also IP68-certified and features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. There is a USB 2.0 Type-C port on the bottom.

The display is a 6.7-inch pOLED with a Full-HD+ resolution, 10-bit color depth, 144Hz refresh rate, and a 1600 nits peak brightness. The fingerprint sensor is placed under the display. The chipset is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The battery is 5,000mAh, and the phone supports 68W fast charging. There is no wireless charging support.

Speaking of cameras, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has two on the rear. The primary camera uses a 1/1.56″-type 50MP Sony LYT-700C sensor with an f/1.88 lens and OIS. The ultrawide camera has a 13MP sensor and can shoot macro photos. The selfie camera has a 32MP sensor. All three cameras can shoot 4K videos at up to 30fps.

Finally, the phone runs on Hello UI, based on Android 14. Motorola has promised three OS updates for the device.
