Moto G64 with Dimensity 7025 launching on April 16

In September last year, the Moto G54 was launched in the Indian market with a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset, a large 6,000mAh battery, and OIS for the primary camera. The company has now announced the launch date of the Moto G64 for the Indian market. The phone is launching on April 16, and as the name suggests, this is a successor to the Moto G62, which was launched with a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset in 2022.

The official announcement from Motorola reveals a couple of specifications. The Moto G64 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset. This chipset is built on the TSMC’s 6nm process and features an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.5GHz. There is an IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. Compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 inside the Moto G54, the Dimensity 7025 has a CPU with a higher clock speed (2.5GHz vs. 2.2GHz) and support for a 200MP camera sensor. The rest of the specifications are the same.

Motorola also revealed the design of the phone, and the Moto G64 looks identical to the Moto G54. The phone is launching in at least three colors – Purple, Green, and Blue.

The Flipkart page of the device reveals that there is a 6.5-inch 120Hz Full-HD+ display, 33W fast charging, a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 16MP selfie camera. The phone runs on Android 14 out of the box and will get Android 15 update. There is Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the front, and the phone is IP52 certified.

Well, by the looks of it, the Moto G64 is a Moto G54 with a slightly upgraded chipset. The Moto G54 was launched in India at ₹15,999, and we expect the Moto G64 to be priced under ₹20,000.
