Realme GT Neo 6 SE launched with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3

Realme has launched a new mid-range smartphone in the Chinese market, the Realme GT Neo 6 SE. As the name suggests, this is the successor to the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, launched in April last year with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. At its launch, the GT Neo 5 SE had the most powerful 7-series chipset by Qualcomm.

The GT Neo 6 SE follows the same trend and uses the most powerful 7-series SOC currently in Qualcomm’s portfolio, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. This also makes it the second phone after the OnePlus Ace 3V to launch with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.

Design-wise, the Realme GT Neo 6 SE looks pretty different from the other Realme phones on the market. There is a dual camera setup on the back and a dual LED flash setup. The phone does not have any camera island on the rear, making the back look clean. There is also a two-tone design on the rear. The phone has a stereo speaker setup, an under-display fingerprint sensor, an X-axis linear motor, and a dual-frequency GPS.

The phone is IP65 water and dust-resistant.

On the front, the Realme GT Neo 6 SE has a slightly curved display, and this is one of the highlights of this phone. This is a 6.78-inch 8T LTPO OLED display with a peak brightness of 6000 nits, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 1.5K resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and a 94.2% screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the phone has the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SOC, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Compared to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, the 7+ Gen 3 offers up to 15% better CPU & 45% better GPU performance. The Realme GT Neo 6 SE also features some AI features such as object removal, call summary, article summary, and more. For better thermals, the phone has a vapor chamber with a heat dissipation area of 10014mm².

There is a big 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging support.

Speaking of cameras, the phone has two on the rear. The primary rear camera has a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS support, and the ultrawide camera has an 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor. For selfies, there is a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor. The phone can shoot 4K 60fps videos from the rear camera, and up to 4K 30fps videos from the front camera. Finally, Android 14 runs out of the box with Realme UI on top.

Realme GT Neo 6 SE comes in two colors, and here is the pricing –

  • 8GB + 256GB – ¥1699 (~$235)
  • 12GB + 256GB – ¥1899 (~$262)
  • 16GB + 256GB – ¥2099 (~$290)
  • 16GB + 512GB – ¥2399 (~$331)
