The Oneplus Nord CE 4 is now official in the Indian market, and this is the successor to the Nord CE 3. The phone comes with a new design and an upgraded chipset. While the Nord CE 3 was launched in India at ₹26,999, the successor is cheaper, starting at ₹24,999. This makes it a solid competitor of the Nothing Phone 2a.
The Nord CE 4 comes with a new rear design. While the cameras are still placed vertically in the top left corner, there is a Camera island this year and a ring LED flash. This camera module design is similar to that of some Meizu smartphones. The phone comes in two colors – Celadon Marble and Dark Chrome. The material used is polycarbonate, and there is a flat-frame design. The phone has a stereo speaker setup but lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The fingerprint sensor sits under the display.
Speaking of specifications, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 has a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 1100 nits peak brightness. The display supports HDR10+ and features a 10-bit color depth. It also has the Aqua Touch technology, which we have seen on the flagship OnePlus phones this year.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SOC. This is one of the best mid-range chipsets in this price segment. On the AnTuTu benchmark, the phone scores almost 850,000 points. The chipset is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The battery is 5,500mAh, and there is 100W fast charging support. The charger is provided in the box.
The phone has two cameras on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS, and the ultrawide camera has an 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor. For comparison, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 was launched with a flagship Sony IMX890 sensor, so there is a downgrade in the camera hardware this year. For selfies, the phone uses a 16MP camera. The rear camera supports 4K video recording at up to 30fps.
Finally, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 runs on Android 14-based OxygenOS 14.
