Starting with the iQOO Z8x, the phone has a 6.64-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD with up to 120Hz refresh rate. This sounds like the same panel as the iQOO Z7x. The battery size is the same at 6,000mAh, and surprisingly, the charging speed has gone down – 44W versus 80W. The dual Camera Setup Includes a 50MP primary shooter and a 2MP secondary camera. The selfie camera has an 8MP sensor. Again, the camera setup is the same as the Z7x on paper.

While the iQOO Z7x was launched with Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, the iQOO Z8x has the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 is a 4nm-based chip with an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.2GHz. Finally, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and doesn’t skip the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Coming to the iQOO Z8, the phone is getting quite a significant upgrade in performance thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 8200. The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 is more powerful than the Snapdragon 870, 888, and 888+. This chip powered the iQOO Neo 7 SE, launched in December last year. On the AnTuTu benchmark, the iQOO Z8 scores over 970,000 points which says a lot about the performance.

The display is the same as iQOO Z7x – a 6.64-inch Full-HD+ 120Hz LCD. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. The camera setup includes a 64MP primary shooter with OIS and a 2MP secondary camera. The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

So, it looks like just the performance gets an upgrade in the iQOO Z8, compared to the iQOO Z7. This won’t be an issue if iQOO keeps the price in the same range as the Z7.
