Realme GT Neo 6 to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, specs leaked

The Realme GT Neo series is known for ridiculously fast charging speeds. Last year, the Realme GT Neo 3 was launched with 150W fast charging, which could charge the 4,500mAh battery up to 50% in just 5 minutes. In February this year, we got the Realme GT Neo 5, which went one step further and offered 240W fast charging. The brand is preparing to unveil the next phone under this series, the Realme GT Neo 6.

This is the Realme GT Neo 6

Apart from the charging speed, the design was also the highlight of Realme GT Neo 5 since the phone had a transparent design on the back around the camera module, with RGB light. It was the first Realme phone to feature an RGB light. The Realme GT Neo 6 features a similar design, so a transparent section around the camera module has the RGB light.

The render was shared by OnLeaks, in collaboration with MySmartPrice.

Speaking of the specifications, Realme GT Neo 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, Qualcomm’s flagship SOC for 2023.  Realme GT Neo 5 had the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, whereas the GT Neo 3 had Dimensity 8100. This upgrade in the chipset means the phone has UFS 4.0 storage.

The display remains the same as GT Neo 5 – a 6.74-inch 1.5K OLED panel with 10-bit color depth and up to 144Hz refresh rate. The camera setup is also the same – a 50MP IMX890 with OIS + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP macro + 16MP selfie camera. Also, like the Realme GT Neo 5, the GT Neo 6 has two variants – one supporting 150W charging and another supporting 240W charging. The battery sizes differ – 4,600mAh battery for the 240W variant and 5,200mAh battery for the 150W variant. So, the battery is bigger than the 150W variant of GT Neo 5 (5,000mAh).

Finally, Realme GT Neo 6 runs on Android 13 out of the box.

Well, the GT Neo 6 is not a significant upgrade over the GT Neo 5 since the only change is in the performance, thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SOC. The display, camera, battery size, and charging speed remain the same. So, we expect the price difference to be relatively small between the two phones. The 150W variant of GT Neo 5 was launched at ¥2599 (~$360), whereas the 240W variant at ¥3199 (~$443).

In the global market, if launched, the Realme GT Neo 6 could launch with a different name. That’s because Realme GT Neo 5 (with 240W charging) was launched globally as the Realme GT 3 for $650.
