Earlier this year, in April, the Nord CE 3 Lite was launched with a Snapdragon 695 chipset, a 120Hz LCD, and a starting price of ₹19,999 / £299 / €329. Today, OnePlus launched the Nord CE 3, a mid-range device and the successor to the Nord CE 2. The Oneplus Nord CE 2 was launched last February with MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset.
The design is similar to the Nord CE 3 Lite, so there are two big circular camera modules, one with the primary sensor and the other with two sensors. The phone comes in two color options, which are different from those of the Nord CE 3 Lite. The sides of the phone are flat, and so is the display on the front. The phone has a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support and an X-axis linear motor.
OnePlus Nord CE 3 also gets an IR blaster but misses the alert slider.
On the front, OnePlus Nord CE 3 has a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution, HDR10+ support, and 10-bit color depth. The bezels are slim, so the overall screen-to-body ratio is 93.4%. The fingerprint sensor sits under the display.
Under the hood, there’s the Snapdragon 782G chipset, an upgrade to the Snapdragon 778G+ SOC. It is built on the 6nm process and has a CPU clocked at up to 2.7GHz. Compared to Snapdragon 778G+, the 782G chipset offers up to 5% better CPU and 10% better GPU performance. There is LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The battery size is 5,000mAh, and the phone supports 80W fast charging.
Speaking of cameras, OnePlus Nord CE 3 has a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary camera has a 1/1.56″50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS support. Yes, this is the same camera sensor on the OnePlus 11R & OnePlus 11. The ultrawide camera has an 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor. The third camera is for macro shots and has a 2MP sensor. There is support for 4K video recording at up to 30fps.
The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor with a fixed focus.
Finally, Android 13 runs out of the box with OxygenOS 13.1 on top.
