Lava Blaze 2 is now official in the Indian market, a budget phone from the brand and the successor of the Lava Blaze. The phone is priced at ₹10,999, and for this price, you are getting a powerful chipset and a premium glass back. Lava claims this is the most powerful phone in its segment, scoring over 250,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark.

The chipset powering this device is not from MediaTek or Qualcomm. Instead, it is from Unisoc. The chip is the Unisoc T616, a 12nm SOC featuring an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 cores (2.0GHz) & six Cortex-A55 cores (1.8GHz). There haven’t been a lot of devices with this SOC, but to name a few, we have the Realme C35, Infinix Hot 12 Pro, Realme Pad Mini, etc.

The Lava Blaze 2 comes with 6GB RAM & 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. There is support for a microSD card to expand the storage.

The display on the front is a 6.5-inch 90Hz LCD with a 720p resolution. There is an 8MP selfie shooter in the hole punch cutout. The dual camera setup on the rear includes a 13MP primary & a 2MP secondary sensor. There is a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Also, the port is a Type-C port. This is important to mention since there are phones launched recently under 10K in the Indian market with a micro USB port.

It is a shame that the phone runs on Android 12 out of the box. It will get one Android update, which means Android 13 is the maximum this phone’s users will enjoy.

Lava Blaze 2 comes in three colors & as mentioned above, and the price is ₹10,999. Lava is offering a discount, so you can get your hands on the device for ₹8,999. The sale starts on April 18.
