The increase in display size & battery size means the Galaxy S23+ is heavier than the Galaxy S23. While the Galaxy S23 is lightweight at 167g, the Galaxy S23+, at 195g, almost touches the 200g mark.

And those are all the differences between the two phones.

Both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, not just in the US but also in the European market. There is 8GB RAM, and while the S23 comes in 128B or 256GB options, the Galaxy S23+ has 256GB or 512GB options. Please note that these are the specifications for the European models, so the memory configuration may not be the same for all the regions.

There is hardly any change in the cameras from last year. Both phones have three rear cameras. The primary camera has a 50MP sensor with OIS & 23mm f/1.8 lens. The ultrawide camera has a 12MP sensor with a 13mm 120-degree lens. The telephoto camera has a 10MP sensor with a 70mm lens, offering 3X optical zoom. WinFuture did not mention OIS for the telephoto lens, so that’s interesting since the last year’s S22 & S22+ had OIS for the telephoto camera.

The selfie camera gets a slight increase in the megapixel count. Both phones have a 12MP camera with a 25mm f/2.2 lens & HDR10+ support.

The primary rear camera can shoot 8K video recording at 30fps & 4K video recording at up to 60fps.

Both phones run on Android 13-based OneUI 5.1.

Other features include WiFi 6E, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, IP68 rating, Wireless PowerShare, KNOX security, and UWB (S23+ only).

As we know already, both phones will be offered in at least four color options – “Phantom Black,” “Botanic Green,” “Mystic Lilac,” and “Cotton Flower.”

The pricing is still a mystery.
