Starting with the vanilla model, the phone looks quite different from its predecessor, primarily due to the flat sides and a new Camera module design. The bezels up front are pretty thin and even all around. As Ice Universe said, the bezels on the Xiaomi 13 are similar to what we saw on the Galaxy S22 this year. It is also possible that the actual device has even narrower bezels than what the renders show us. The display size is around 6.2-inch, which sounds like a slightly smaller display than the Xiaomi 12.

One of the design highlights of the Xiaomi 12 series was the camera module due to its symmetric design. But the Xiaomi 13 seems to have quite an odd-looking camera module, primarily because of the placement of camera lenses. There is a square-shaped camera island that is divided into three parts, and two out of these three parts have two camera lenses. The last part has a camera lens and also an LED flash module.

Next up, we have the Xiaomi 13 Pro. As expected, this one has a curved display, and that’s the main design difference between the Pro and vanilla model. There is a similar-looking camera module design, but if you compare the 13 and 13 Pro, you will notice that the 13 Pro has all the camera lenses of the same size, which is not the case with the 13. Moreover, the camera island is bigger on the 13 Pro. That is probably because of a bigger sensor or a telephoto camera, something the Xiaomi 13 may lack since the Xiaomi 12 also did not have a telephoto lens (there was a macro camera instead).

The display size is around 6.65-inch which is smaller than the Xiaomi 12 Pro’s display.

Well, there is no information regarding the spec sheet yet, but since these two will be Xiaomi’s premium flagships for next year, we won’t be surprised to see both phones powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SOC.
