Earlier this year, Realme 9 launched with a 108MP camera sensor and a Snapdragon 680 SOC. Today, Realme 10 was launched in the global market. This is a non-5G budget phone, with the main USP being its design and performance. Compared to the Realme 9, which had Snapdragon 680 SOC, the Realme 10 comes with the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset.
Design-wise, Realme 10 comes in two colors – Clash Black & Rush White. There is no camera module on the back, so each camera sensor gets its separate circular housing. The fingerprint reader is on the side, and the 3.5mm headphone jack is on the bottom. There is a USB Type-C port. The phone seems to have a single bottom-firing speaker.
The main USP of this phone, apart from design, is performance. That’s due to the MediaTek Helio G99 SOC, which, Realme claims, scores over 400,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark. This chip is fabricated on the 6nm process and has an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.2GHz. The GPU is Arm Mali-G57 MC2. For comparison, the Snapdragon 680 SOC we saw in the Realme 9 scores under 300,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark.
On the front, there is a 6.4-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution. This sounds like the same display panel as the Realme 9. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Realme 10 has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. For comparison, Realme 9 featured 30W fast charging.
In terms of cameras, Realme 10 has two rear cameras. There is a primary 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a secondary 2MP B&W sensor. This means the camera department is downgraded from the Realme 9. Realme 9 had a 108MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. But on the Realme 10, there is not even an ultrawide camera. The selfie shooter has a 16MP sensor.
Finally, Android 12 runs out of the box with Realme UI 3.0.
