Apart from the name, there is no change in the design or the color options. Motorola Edge 30 Fusion comes in two colors – Black & Blue. The Blue color variant has a leather-like texture on the back panel. There is a curved 6.55-inch pOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh-rate and an under-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, the phone has Snapdragon 888+ SOC, a 4,400mAh battery, and 68W fast charging.
The triple camera setup on the rear includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 13MP sensor with an ultrawide lens, and a 2MP sensor. For selfies, the phone has a 32MP camera in a hole punch cutout. Android 12 runs out of the box, and there are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is a premium flagship phone featuring a Gorilla Glass 5 back panel & a curved display. The main USP of this phone is the primary rear camera sensor. This is the first smartphone to feature a 200MP Samsung HP1 sensor which is a large 1/1.22-inch sensor. The primary camera has OIS. There is a second 50MP sensor with an ultrawide lens and a third 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor with a 2X telephoto lens. Finally, there is a 60MP selfie shooter. So, on paper, these are impressive camera specifications.
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra has Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset that is the latest flagship SOC by Qualcomm. The battery size is 4,610mAh, and the phone supports 125W fast charging. There is also support for 50W fast wireless charging.
Speaking of the display, Motorola Edge 30 Ultra has a 10-bit OLED panel with a Full-HD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint scanner is present under the display.
Well, we do not know the pricing of these phones in the global market yet, but speaking of the pricing in China, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion / Moto S30 Pro starts at ¥2199, which is equivalent to around $326. On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra/ Moto X30 Pro starts at ¥3699, which is around $549. Obviously, the phones won’t be this cheap in the global market.
