Realme GT Neo 3T launch in India imminent

Earlier this month, Realme GT Neo 3T launched in Europe, which is a high-end device powered by the Snapdragon 870 SOC. The phone was launched in Europe for €399, which translates to around ₹33,000. Now, the company is preparing to launch the device in the Indian market. According to 91Mobiles, the launch in India will take place by the end of June or in early July. That means we have at most a couple of weeks left for the official launch.

While the name suggests that it is an upgrade over the Realme GT Neo 3, that’s not the case. In fact, it is the other way around, i.e., the GT Neo 3T is a more affordable version of the GT Neo 3. While the GT Neo 3 has a Dimensity 8100-MAX chipset, the GT Neo 3T has the Snapdragon 870 SOC. As we know, Snapdragon 870 is the most balanced chip under the 800 series currently, and even the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or 8+ Gen 1 don’t come close when it comes to the balance of performance and thermals.

There is 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The lack of LPDDR5 RAM suggests that the GT Neo 3T is going to launch at a very aggressive price in India. Anyways, there is a 5,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging support. The 80W adapter is provided in the box.

For a better haptic experience, there is an improved X-axis linear motor.

Finally, the camera setup on the rear includes a 64MP primary sensor with no OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP camera.

Android 12 runs out of the box with Realme UI 3.0 running on top.

Well, if you compare the specifications of Realme GT Neo 3T with those of Realme GT Neo 2, you will find a lot of similarities. For example, both phones have Snapdragon 870 SOC, both have a 5,000mAh battery, and both have a 6.62-inch 120Hz E4 AMOLED panel. Even the camera setup is the same. The only major upgrade that the GT Neo 3T brings over the GT Neo 2 is faster charging (65W vs. 80W).

It is also worth noting that Realme GT Neo 2 launched in October with a starting price of ₹31,999. So, considering all these factors, it is safe to say that the starting price of Realme GT Neo 3T in India is under ₹30,000. Because now, there are some other phones in this price segment too, such as the iQOO Neo 6, which starts at ₹29,999 and has Snapdragon 870, a 64MP camera with OIS, 80W charging & a 120hz E4 AMOLED, i.e., almost the same specs as GT Neo 3T.

Even Xiaomi’s Mi 11X is selling for around ₹28-29K currently, and that phone has the Snapdragon 870 too.

Let’s see at what price the Realme GT Neo 3T launches in India.
