Today, alongside the Axon 40 Ultra, ZTE also launched the Axon 40 Pro. This is the successor to the Axon 30 Pro that launched last year with Snapdragon 888 at ¥2,998 (~$460). The ZTE Axon 40 Pro, surprisingly, is less powerful than the Axon 30 Pro since it has the Snapdragon 870. And just like the Axon 30 Pro, the 40 Pro does not have an in-display selfie camera, something that the Axon 40 Ultra has.
Design-wise, the Axon 40 Pro features a curved display with a hole punch in the middle and a Quad camera setup on the rear. The design is quite different from the Axon 40 Ultra, both from the front and the back. There is a stereo speakers setup, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and an X-axis linear motor.
In terms of specs, the phone has a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ 144Hz AMOLED, Snapdragon 870 SOC, and up to 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. The Quad camera setup includes a primary 1/1.52″ 100MP sensor with an f/1.89 lens and 9-in-1 pixel binning. There is an ultrawide lens with an 8MP sensor, a macro sensor, and a depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP camera upfront. Finally, there is a 5,000mAh battery and 66W fast charging support.
