Along with its new gaming phone, Lenovo also launched its first gaming tablet in China. It is named the Lenovo Legion Y700. This gaming tablet does not look any different than any normal Android tablet but has some gaming-centric features in its arsenal. It comes with the Snapdragon 870 SOC and a large VC cooling system under the hood.

Design-wise, the Legion Y700 looks like a normal Android tablet. The only gaming-centric design element that it has is a slider on the side that can be used to turn on the Game Mode. The USB Type-C port is present on the bottom, whereas the 3.5mm headphone jack is on the top. There are stereo speakers tuned by JBL and with Dolby Atmos support.

There is a large 8500mm square Vapor Chamber underneath the back panel that takes care of cooling. The total heat dissipation area is over 45,000mm square. Lenovo Legion Y700 has Snapdragon 870 chip that is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The storage is expandable via a microSD card up to 1TB.

There is a 6,550mAh battery that can be charged quickly via a 45W adapter. The Type-C port on the bottom is of a USB 3.1 Gen 2 type. There is Bypass Charging as well.

On the front, Lenovo Legion Y700 has an 8.8-inch LCD with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10 support. For a better haptic experience, the tablet has dual X-axis linear motors too. Finally, ZUI 13 runs out of the box.

In China, Lenovo Legion Y700 comes in two storage options. Here is the pricing –

• 8GB + 128GB – ¥2199 (~$348)
• 12GB + 256GB – ¥2499 (~$395)

The tablet will go on sale in China on the 10th of March.
