Asus Zenfone 8 to bring back the 3.5mm headphone jack

The ROG Phone 5 lineup launched in March, and two months after its launch, Asus is now all set to unveil the Zenfone 8 lineup. So while the ROG 5 series is especially for gamers, the Asus Zenfone 8 is for a more casual audience out there. Asus has revealed that it would launch the phone on the 12th of this month, and while the company did reveal the launch date, there is still no official confirmation on how many phones we can expect in this lineup. There are already rumors of the Zenfone 8 Mini, which has high-end specs and a compact form factor. In fact, the main tagline for the Zenfone 8 is exactly what all the rumors hint at, i.e.,  “Big on Performance. Compact in Size.”

Anyways, one interesting thing that Asus revealed via its Twitter account is that the Zenfone 8 has a 3.5mm headphone jack, something Asus removed from the Zenfone 7 series of last year. Another teaser from the brand hints at a high-refresh-rate display with a hole-punch cutout on the top left corner. If the rumors are to be believed, there is a device named Zenfone 8 Mini under this lineup which is a pretty compact phone with a 5.9-inch panel having a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone is rumored to have a 4,000mAh cell and 30W fast charging support.

Well, we are yet to know much about the Zenfone 8 series, and all we have at the moment are the official teasers and some rumors. Still, there is more than a week left for the launch, so we will definitely get to know the specs and the design before the unveiling, like always. Stay Tuned for more updates!
