HP is one of the most prominent laptop brands in the market, and it is one of the most popular ones too, if not the most popular. The company has built its name through the years, and it is known for delivering excellent business laptops, one of the most notable for that purpose is the Pavilion series. The model I have my hands on today is the HP Pavilion 15, a great machine, with plenty of Performance, refined design, good display, all coming in at an extremely valuable package.

As we have come to know from the Pavilion series, this laptop features a very simplistic and minimal design as well. However, this time around the designers have opted for sharper angles on its corners and all-around, resulting in a more streamlined design, and combined with its matte finish, on its sturdy plastic frame, gives it a premium look. This device is pretty portable as well, measuring just 0.78-inches at its thickest point and weighs just 4.21-pounds, so it will fit into most backpacks and carry it around with ease.

This device features a 15.6-inch IPS WLED-backlit panel with anti-glare coating, and it has a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080p. The display was able to portray plenty of detail and the colours were fairly good as well, better than most of its mid-range competitors.

The brightness is somewhat not as good as I expected but it should be enough at 237nits, and it is worth mentioning that it was extremely even throughout the screen.

In the performance department, this model is equipped with an 8th Generation Quad-Core Intel Core i5-8250U processing unit, combined with 8GB of RAM and 1TB of 5400 rpm SATA HDD, which is the fastest of the sort. These performances make it a productivity workhorse and it should be enough for most of daily use, however, don’t expect it to run triple-A games though.

The battery life is a little lacking, however, it should be enough to last a day in the office averaging about 8 hours with moderate use.

If you want an affordable mid-range laptop, for your business purposes, the HP Pavilion 15 delivers. Definitely deserves its spot in this best hp laptops list!

4. HP Chromebook 11 G4

Chromebooks all perform like the same device, offering the same OS experience, and nearly the same design. However, the HP Chromebook 11 G4 breaks the mold delivering an extremely solid build quality, good performance, interesting features, decent display with pretty accurate colors and exceptional portability. Taking into consideration its affordable price, it is hard not to consider this Chromebook.

The HP Chromebook 11 G4 rocks a pretty contemporary and simplistic look, which is just perfect for my taste, with its two-tone paint job and round edges that have a futuristic look. On the lid of it you will spot a matte black paint job, with the silver HP logo in the middle and the Chrome logo on the top left hand side, the bottom has a nice design as well, sporting a textured finish to provide a grip when you place it on a table and for one-hand carrying.

The deck of the device features a silver design, and on it the matte black keys. It is worth stating that the device is extremely light and portable, measuring 0.81-inches at its thickest and weighing just 2.1-pounds in total.

Albeit small, the keyboard delivered an adequate typing experience, with good travel distance and a clicky tactile response, on top of this the touchpad was pretty good as well with good workspace and nice feeling.

This laptop features an 11.6-inch anti-glare SVA WLED backlit panel with an HD resolution of 1366x768p, delivering plenty of sharpness in the process and good colours. Maybe it is not the best display in the market, but for its size, it is more than enough, I would only complain about the viewing angles, and the brightness which only averaged 192nits at maximum, however, the colour reproduction was pretty solid managing to reproduce about 63 percent of the Srgb Colour Gamut.

In the performance department it is equipped with an Intel Celeron N2840 2.16GHz CPU with 4GB of RAM which makes it a productivity tool, and the integrated Intel HD Graphics 400 help it carries on its might.

The best Chromebook from HP’s lineup, delivering durability, design, and power in an extremely affordable package.

When it comes to excellent design, performance, and credibility, HP knows how to deliver and its x360-13t is nothing but breathtaking. It is truly a premium laptop complete with the price, but this laptop doesn’t appeal to the average customer, with its new and improved design, and amazing touchscreen capabilities the x360 is an art piece, it doesn’t disappoint in the performance department too, as I told you it is the complete package.

The HP Spectre x360-13t has an interesting design as the company rightfully called it the ‘gem-cut design’. Every design trick pulled in this laptop is made to reflect light from every possible angle, and it has angular cuts that go in a pattern, to give the device a proper gem look. I can describe this as an exotic design which only enhances the premium claim of this laptop, while all its competitors have simple and bland designs. It is a lightweight and portable device measuring just 0.57-inches at its thickest point and weighs just 2.92-pounds.

This particular model packs a 13.3-inch IPS WLED backlit touchscreen panel that has a Corning Gorilla Glass on the front for protection. It has a Full HD resolution of 192x1080p, and it is worth stating that it has a low power consumption. On top of all this, the display delivers a great contrast of 1040:1, with good brightness of 333nits and managing to reproduce about 73 percent of the AdobeRGB gamut, meaning that you can even use it for design. Apart from that, you can comfortably use this display for watching movies, productivity and many more.

In the performance department, this machine has Intel’s 8th Generation Whiskey Lake i7-8550U CPU that has a boost clock speed of 4GHz with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD for storage. In the graphics department, it is equipped with an Intel UHD Graphics 620 unit, these specs prove that this ultraportable is one of the best in the market, and even under heavy tasks, it managed to stay cool with the new temperature management system.

The battery life of the HP Spectre x360-13t is also pretty good, managing about 12 hours of use before shutting down on average.

Complete with the included pen, Bang & Olufsen speakers, and perfect camera, this laptop is the best touchscreen from HPs range.

HP has always designed some of the most eye-catching laptops in the market, however, neither can get close to the looks of the HP Spectre Folio. This is essentially a 2-in-1, the best 2-in-1 in its lineup to be exact, it has a high price and it is the definition of premium and luxury. It has a performance to match and it is thoroughly a mighty tool that will get through everything.

As I mentioned earlier this is a premium designed machine, with aesthetics to match, it is the equivalent of a Ferrari in the laptop world. Extremely sleek and streamlined, covered with genuine leather all-around, dubbed the Cognac Brown, which is soft to touch and comfortable. It nearly looks like a high-end designer bag, and it would make its designers jealous, it is fairly thin and lightweight, measuring 0.6-inches at its thickest and weighs about 3.4-pounds, making it extremely portable.

The HP Spectre Folio is equipped with 13.3-inch IPS WLED backlit display with a resolution of 1920x1080p, which as a first impression is impressive, to say the least. It displays a rich variety of colours, to be exact it managed reproduce 119 percent of the sRGB colour gamut and can get pretty bright at about 400 nits at maximum. In all modes, this display looks pretty and is capable of displaying everything to its last detail with amazing viewing angles.

When you look at the display and the performance specs, we see a reoccurring theme here, this is a pretty power-efficient laptop, fitted with a Y-Series Intel CPU namely the dual-core 1.5GHz Intel Core i7-8500Y with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD, but even then this laptop is capable of getting through every productivity task and plenty of productivity. Thanks to the aforementioned power-saving features, this fanless model is capable of 8 hours of heavy use before giving up, and if you are a casual user, it’s more than double of that.

Overall, the Folio is one of the most beautifully designed laptops that will prove its worth time and time again, it is suited for every business people with high-demanding jobs, this luxury item is a must.
