The company is notorious for having easy setups for their routers, as it is all done very quickly and you can even download the TP-Link Tether smartphone app that enables you to set up and configure the router directly from your phone, every instruction is very clear explained simply with pictures.

Performance-wise you will immediately see that this router supports high speeds, and has an amazing range, in the 5GHz band it averaged 70Mb/s download and 17Mb/s upload speeds, the speeds dropped in the 2.4GHz band but it is expected. The speeds did not drop in distance and through walls and it was very stable throughout.

The TP-Link Archer A7 is an excellent router if you do not have high-demands, however, you would be wrong if you considered this router a weaker model, because it is still a dual-band gigabit model, with good speeds on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz band tests, with good amount of ports, and plenty of management settings, combined with affordable price the TP-Link AC1750 is a bargain.

This router uses 720MHz CPU that can reach speeds up to 450Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 1300Mbps on the 5Ghz band. Speaking of aesthetics it hasn’t changed much from its predecessor, still rocking the glossy black enclosure measuring 9.6×6.4×1.3-inches, on the rear of the router you will find 3 adjustable antennas that can even be removed, there you will also find the connectivity ports consisting of four Gigabit LAN ports, a Gigabit WAN port, and two USB 2.0 ports. On the front of the device, you will see the LED light indicators for power, radio bands, LAN ports, WAN port, and WPS activity light.

You can access the web console of the router with as explained in the user manual, and it is a text-based version that was present in the older models, and it provides you a great array of settings starting from basic to more advanced ones, you can change everything to your preference, from LAN, WAN, MAC Clone, even IPTV options to name a few. The Google WiFi is definitely the easiest and most customizable and manageable router that I have ever seen, with its set of three it offers great power and it is perfect for large houses and again it is a breeze to set up, it is designed excellently and provides great value for its price, it is the definite best wireless mesh router on the market.

Besides providing the most value for its money the Google WiFi also has the design edge over its competitors, each unit is small and shaped like a short cylinder, the body is all white and in the center of it you will find a white LED band, and every unit is the same. Meaning that you can set any one of them as the core router, it is also worth stating that each unit is powered by USB-C cable.

The device measures 4.1-inches in diameter and 2.7-inches in height, and weighs just 340 grams, due to their small size you can easily set them in any corner of your house in an instant, there is also a very simple cable management system that will cover most of the cables. After you set them up until you just have to download the smartphone app available both for Android and iOS, and you just scan the QR codes on the back of the routers and you just need to follow the simple procedure on your screen.

It is an extremely useful app, allowing you to constantly monitor your network, and the device it is connected to, it has also an included internet speed test that is capable of measuring the health of your connection, and on top of that it has a WiFi test that determines your connection strength within the network. It may be big and a little more expensive than other models, but it justifies its price amazingly.

The NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 has an all-black plastic body with sharp and geometrical angles and patterned grille that makes it look like alien technology if you have a minimalist desk you may want to reconsider this though. It measures 11.5×8.8×2.2-inches making it also the biggest router in the market, it is designed to be set up horizontally and it can be wall-mounted if you wish to.

On the middle of the device, you will spot 13 LED lights that show the activity of everything you may be concerned of if it gets distracting you can shut down all the lights from a switch in the back of the device.
