Is it too early to think about Christmas? Some years I shop early and some years I barely finish shopping by the time the holidays arrive! This year, I had the chance to try out some cool new Toys that are all interactive. They all will make some children very happy when they are unwrapped this December. Let’s see what they are!

Tekno Newborn Kitten
Ages 3+ available at Walmart and other major retailers for a $14.99 MSRP

This cool toy comes in a kitten or puppy model. It was on the list of “best $15 and under toys for back to school” this year. I had never heard of it, but as soon as I opened it up, one of my daughters said that her third graders love this toy and bring it to class to play with during free time!

With a few simple movements of the newborn’s legs or tail you can make your pet jump in your hand, sing, walk, beg or sit. The sound of the kitten is a robotic meow that got old to this Grandma’s ears pretty quickly! Kids LOVE it, but parents may want to hide the batteries after a few hours! After I heard enough from this cute kitty, I let my grand baby play with it (with close supervision, as she is under 3 years)without turning it on. She was delighted and held her “kitty” and talked to it for a long time! The only thing I did besides being right there with her, was to remove the ears, because they were easily pulled off by my 14 month grand daughter and could be a choking hazard.

For kids ages 3 and up this would be a very fun gift!

MAX Rumbler
Ages 8+ available at Walmart and other major retailers for a $14.99 MSRP.

The MAX Rumbler by Echo Tech is a radio controlled ground vehicle with over sized wheels to help it do over a dozen tricks! Some of its cool features include extreme twisting action, “dancing”, jumping and flipping. This toy will make you the hero of any child you buy it for! It has crazy bold LED lights, too! I love the price, most similar toys cost way more than this one!

This toy is a winner in my book! It comes all assembled, it is sturdy and easy to use and it is FUN! Don’t be surprised if you see this Grandma playing with the MAX Rumbler even when no kids are around!

My Friend Cayla Party Time
Ages 4+ available at Target and other major retailers for a $69.99 MSRP.

My Friend Cayla Party Time is an 18 inch doll that interacts with your child. She responds, sings, tells stories and can tell by “My Touch Technology” which accessories are put in her hand! So, if you put a present in her hand, she will talk about the present! If you put her cake in her hand, she will tell you what flavor it is and ask if you have tried any yet! She can even play games with your child! She comes dressed in a pretty party dress and has everything needed for a special party. She can do all these interactive things without using a smart device or app, but if you download her app, she can do even more!

I can’t imagine any little girl that wouldn’t be delighted with opening Cayla as her gift! She will give hours of fun and entertainment to your little girl, even become her best friend! This will be a very special gift, my grand daughters are still too young for Cayla, but I will be giving her away so another little girl can enjoy her! When my youngest grand daughter saw Cayla, she exclaimed, “Hi!” She was pretty excited to see and hold her!
