Mastering the arts of patience or intelligent waiting

Tags: patience

The sunrise remains unhurried despite our impatience . The misfortune of it is that, because of our impatience we don’t fully capture with appreciation the beauty it unfolds. And then we pursue our day with all the stress and discontentment our untamed imaginations picks up.

“Chaos is inherent in all compounded things. Strive on with diligence”.

This pace of hurried untamed imagination transform that person into a property of a complex system whose behaviour is so unpredictable as to appear random, owing to great sensitivity to small changes in conditions. So you keep on experiencing this periodic stress flashes as your day unfolds.

“Patience does not mean to passively endure. It means to be farsighted enough to trust the end result of a process. What does patience mean? It means to look at the thorn and see the rose, to look at the night and see the dawn. Impatience means to be so shortsighted as to not be able to see the outcome. The lovers of God never run out of patience, for they know that time is needed for the crescent moon to become full.”
Elif Shafak, The Forty Rules of Love

You most be able to Endure to the end which means the ability to exert your self and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from, and have immunity to trauma, wounds, or fatigue. If you ever heard of someone saying ;

Time gone, energy wasted , no work done’ you will understand what a passive mind is . Those who take up commitment with no true conviction and then drop everything before the finish line. Please be encourage;

“God hears and sees you. He knows your deepest desires, and wants to fulfill them. But sometimes we just have to be patient.”
Chloe M. Gooden, Not Tonight : My Worth Is Far Above Rubies

You most learn patience to be able to bring meaningful value to your live. To survive you most be able to technically wait until all environmental factors are favorable (preparation) You may argue that at one point in life we all need to take a courageous leap in the dark, that at one point one has to improvise, I’ll say let this come in the course of a well prepared action let that leap or improvising come in as a defensive or survival factor, .

When risk becomes your trigger point mistakes are eminent. Even insects know this Certain insects, particularly ones that live in higher altitudes or near the Earth’s poles, use a state of torpor to survive drops in temperature. Torpor is a temporary state of suspension or sleep, during which the insect is completely immobile. The New Zealand weta, for example, is a flightless cricket that lives in high altitudes. When temperatures drop in the evening, the cricket freezes solid. As daylight warms the weta, it comes out of the torpid state and resumes activity.

We most master our life pattern, business, marriage, etc in such a way that when conditions get rather worse we will just have to freeze and observe as we restrain from fast decision. Most homes are broken today, business crumple because most people have failed to accept to freeze along the conditions surrounding them. A wise man once said when everything around you changes, Change too else you will be caught in a fight with Nature.

“Patience, grasshopper,” said Maia. “Good things come to those who wait.”
“I always thought that was ‘Good things come to those who do the wave,'” said Simon. “No wonder I’ve been so confused all my life.”
Cassandra Clare, City of Glass

Be calm and maintain equilibrium be patient, your life might have lost focus due to the myriad of decision you have hurriedly taken and now you are entangled

“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”
A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

Rivers don’t suggest you stand there and take what life has to give you without fighting back.

Nor does it suggest that you should stand and watch the river go by without you.

What it may suggest though is patience while still moving forward.

It definitely suggests that there is an art to hurrying. If you can flow instead of rush you will get there … and maybe do it with some beauty and grace.

 “The two hardest tests on the spiritual road are the patience to wait for the right moment and the courage not to be disappointed with what we encounter.”
Paulo Coelho, Veronika Decides to Die

Martin Luther King, Jr. said “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope”. In the most simplest of terms. Man needs patience to be able to courageously face the realities of life.

“He that can have patience can have what he will.”
Benjamin Franklin

This words of wisdom came as an essence. To stimulate men and women to the discovery and perception of the truth that – he that reclines for a day or two to contemplate positively over a matter might ultimately find a solution to his problems on the third day or lesser.
