Never too old to learn something new

It is a usual School day like all other 10th standard kids, for Meena. After school hours she packs her bag and heads home to cook for her family....her husband and her daughter who is also studying in 10th.

At 6 in the morning, Meena starts her job as a cleaner in the school. She has secured admission in the same school to complete her education that she could not complete due to poverty. She had received her free primary education in her village. But as her family could not afford her further studies she had to stop her education.

After 5 years of secondary education she is now ready for her board exams. Coincidentally her daughter is also giving her board exams this year.

Meena wishes to complete her 10th and pursue a career for being a kindergarten teacher. She or her family was never ashamed of her age for resuming her education. Her daughter is the most encouraging person in her life. Being in the same class as her mother never bothered her. Meena wishes to teach in the same school where she is currently studying. The school staff has always been encouraging too. Moreover she is also proud of being able to complete her education with her own earnings.

Meena proves that people are never too old to learn something new. In a country where poverty and education for women has been a concern, we need more people like Meena to eradicate the issue.
