Located about 30 minutes from the Tagaytay City proper, Sonya's Garden is popular for its holistic and nature-inspired amenities such as its bed and breakfast, spa and restaurant. It has that chic, rustic appeal, with the feel of being in a secret garden tucked away somewhere beautiful, homey and maybe even romantic.
Their famous all-you-can-eat buffet luncheon includes fresh greens along with their popular salad dressing, the recipe of which remains a secret. Visitors may take home bottles of this as they are readily available in their store. Along with the refreshing salad, they also serve freshly-baked bread, creamy pasta and other wholesome and delicious dishes. Who knew that healthy and organic food could be this appetising?
The B&B, meanwhile, is a rustic solace with cottages that are unique and welcoming. It is great for family, friends, and couples who seek to be somewhere quiet, intimate and away from the noise and the hustle-and-bustle of the regular urban living.
My most favourite part about this gem of a place is the Herb Greenhouse. It is extremely lovely! Glass chimes, beautiful flowers and intimate table set-ups tucked in various corners - it seems like it was taken straight out of a dreamy fairy tale. No wonder many couples choose to hold pre-nuptial shoots and even weddings in this place.
For visitors who wish to take home "a bit of Sonya's Garden" with them, there is a Panaderia (bakeshop) and a Country Store where they can drop by before leaving.
Will I go back here again? Definitely! There's so much beauty in this place that makes me want to visit it again and again. Schedule a visit to Sonya's Garden when you are in the Tagaytay-Cavite area, and you will not be disappointed.
