Be a Very Important Paleontologist at Tanglin Mall's Dinosaur Escapade

Is it just me or all moms out there are busybees bringing their kids everywhere this school holidays? So many activities to do, too little time especially for a full time working mum like me! I have been receiving kid-friendly media invites like almost everyday but I had to decline most invites that land on a weekday. I know right? Sad but I can't afford to take leave from work as the specialist medical group that I am currently working is shorthanded at the moment.

Anyway, we kick started the first weekend of the June school holidays with a bang a fully-packed schedule with the kids. On Saturday, we attended a family lunch hosted by NTUC Fairprice (blog post coming very soon), brought G for a trial class at People Impact (blog post coming very soon too, haha!), and rushed to VivoCity GV cinema to catch the Ninja Turtles movie hosted by Parkway.

On Sunday, we spent a lazy morning at home (because we were all too tired from all the mad schedule we had the previous day) before heading to check out the Dinosaur Escapade happening at Tanglin Mall.

We were greeted by this humongous Tyrannosaurus at Tanglin Mall's main entrance. The dinosaur-loving G couldn't contain his excitement the moment he laid eyes on it and exclaimed, "Where's the dinosaur fossil, Mom? Let's go dig!"

So we wasted no time and brought him down at the sand pit area. With our VIP (Very Important Paleontologist) pass, G was given a Paleontologist vest, hat and goggles to get started on digging dinosaur fossils. The boy obviously had a great time! He is a certified beach baby boy, the sight of sand is more than enough to make him happy.

The highlight of the Dinosaur Escapade for us has got to be the Puppet Show by Patrick Kwan. I highly recommend you NOT to miss it! The puppet show is interactive (if you have brave children, get them to volunteer and come up on the stage!), fun and delightfully entertaining for kids and adults alike.

Wait all the way to the end of the show where the "Talking Dinosaur" makes an appearance. You can get your kids to touch, feed or simply take a photo opp with the baby dinosaur. Be warned though as it can wee-wee on your kids faces!
