Tonight my Children nestled into me, heads resting against my body, holding their little hands in mine as they drifted off to sleep.  Tonight I am more aware than ever of the parents who were not able to do this.

The unimaginable tragedy that occurred yesterday has not strayed from my thoughts since learning of it.  The overwhelming Grief that has affected so, so many is something I hope to never fully understand.  My heart aches, my soul grieves, and my prayers go forth.

As news continues to break concerning Newtown Connecticut, we search for answers to so many questions.  But there are none.  None that will ever fully answer why.  Why?!!!

Life can change in the blink of an eye.  Good things happen to bad people.  It is all part of God's plan.  Not one of these statements come close to explaining what went on at Sandy Hook Elementary School.  Not one of them can explain the loss of so many innocent and young Lives.  And not one of them will ease the grief of so many.

To Dawn, Rachel, Anne Marie, Lauren, Mary, and Victoria.  Your bravery will never be forgotten.  Your dedication to children is cemented in your abilities to have saved so many.  You are the fallen heroes.

To Charlotte, Daniel, Olivia, Josephine, Ana, Dylan, Madeleine, Catherine, Chase, Jesse, James, Grace, Emilie, Jack, Noah, Caroline, Jessica, Avielle, Benjamin, and Allison.  Your all too short lives were a gift to all of us, forever to be remembered in an age of innocence.  You have touched the world, and will be so greatly missed by those who knew you best.  You are the shining light through this darkness.

I will hold my children tighter as a result of this.  I will thank every known power that my children are still with me.  I will find the words when there are none.

And they are 'Never again'.
