You’ve heard that making homemade spreads like pumpkin butter is a lot of work, right? Who has time to spend hours in the kitchen, waiting and stirring?! We’ve got you covered with Instant Pot Pumpkin Butter! With this recipe, all you do is throw the ingredients into your pressure cooker and let it do its thing while you’re working, playing with your kids or relaxing. Then, in less than an hour you’ll have delicious pumpkin butter! Besides being ridiculously easy to make, the best part about this recipe is that you can use pumpkin butter on lots of things including toast, english muffins, pancakes and even cakes! Here’s how to make it.

Equipment Needed

  • electric pressure cooker (A 6 qt Instant Pot was used to make this recipe.)
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • silicone cooking spoon

Ingredients 

  • 1x 15oz can pumpkin purée
  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 1 tbsp sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin spice 
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar 

Instructions

Plug in the pressure cooker.

Place the pumpkin purée, cider, sugar, salt, pumpkin spice & brown sugar into the inner pot of the pressure cooker.

Mix the ingredients together well with a silicone cooking spoon.

Place the lid onto the pressure cooker and close to seal.

Set the pressure cooker to cook on manual high pressure for 10 minutes.

Once the cooking time has finished, turn the valve to do a quick pressure release and let the steam out.

Remove the lid.

Add the vanilla extract to the mixture and stir well.

Transfer to a jar for easy storing. 

Serve and enjoy!
