Book Review and Prize Pack Giveaway: "Vampirina at the Beach," by Anne Marie Pace

Thanks Disney for sending this free product for me to review and for supplying a prize pack! All opinions are my own.

Vampirina at the Beach (Vampirina Ballerina Series)
By Ann Marie Pace, illustrated by LeUyen Pham
Release: April 4, 2017
Recommended for ages 2-6

When the summer moon is full, a beach trip is an epic way to spend the night.

With her signature poise, Vampirina and her clan gear up for a festive time at the beach. Keeping her ballet lessons in mind, Vampirina demi-pliés on a surfboard, leaps for a volleyball, and finishes each competition with style, even if she doesn't always come out on top.

My Thoughts
If you have fond memories of watching The Munsters or The Addams Family, you'll love reading Vampirina at the Beach to your children or grandchildren. Since vampires can't go out in sunlight, her family heads to the beach to the light of a full moon! Fortunately, they are not alone there as other creatures of the night join them, even a lifeguard! But like any kids, Vampirina and her friends love to frolic in the water and even try surfing and snorkeling. When they've tired of the water, they play volleyball and build sand castles on the beach. Kids will love imagining what these cute monsters do at the beach at night while they're asleep in their beds. Fortunately, these charming drawings by LeUyen Pham won't scare kids a bit.

Vampirina Ballerina Series: Additional Titles

Vamperina Ballerina
Oh, to be a ballerina! It’s a challenge for any little girl, but even more so if you happen to be a vampire like Vampirina. First of all, you have to find a class that meets at night. Then you have to figure out how to perfect your form when you can’t see yourself in the mirror. And then there’s wearing pink (not the most flattering of colors if you happen to be undead) and that nagging urge to take a little nip out of the other dancers. And worst of all… STAGE FRIGHT!!!

Vampirina Ballerina Hosts a Sleepover
Before Vampirina can host her very first sleepover, there are a few things she must keep in mind: be polite and offer her guests food (like blood pudding); plan some games like scavenger hunt (but keep the clues simple so no one gets lost); and don’t forget to dance! Vampirina may be a little nervous at first, but by following a few simple rules she will host the Best Sleepover Ever.
