the Foliage of memories are scented 

and fragrant

blowing over the mind and the inner self 

they aromatise

they cling to the soul

like a part of my own

they are part of my existence 

like a past story 

or some pages of history 

very close to me

no they don't hold me tight

don't even leave me

they are like the passed dates silent 

like some lessons to be learned 

or like the serpents

embraced around the sandalwood trees 

then at times a silky vibgyor

ever soft and warm 

velvety and cool

amazing is their inner core 

they tickle sometimes  

ever loving 

they caress with love 

these foliage of memories 

they are like partners

so are their shadows 

if you forget them sometimes 

they shake you up

also open the eyes of knowledge 

stroke the heart 

i feel these foliage of memories 

are like books 

hiding the secret of infinity 

standing silent 

they read me
