Avon has always been a part of my lifestyle. I’ve been introduced to Avon when I was a teenager. My sister loves “Sweet Honesty” so much that I ended up liking it as well. I even asked her to buy me a bottle too. She bought me a small one and I wore it everyday when I was in high school. Of course, that’s just it for me though. I didn’t have any budget for the other Avon stuff that I wanted so when I started earning money, well, let’s just say that that was a dream come true for little old me.
That’s why when I got invited to Avon City, the brand’s first experiential product exposition, I got so hyped, you can only imagine how excited I was. And yes, it’s indeed Avon City. Imagine a place filled with beauty products, toys, bags and lingerie, laid out per booth. Below is my short vlog featuring a tour of Avon City and also a haul of the loot bag that they gave us.
The event was held last May 18th during the company’s Sales Leaders Congress (SL Congress) held at the SMX in Mall of Asia Complex. Dubbed Avon City, the event also marked the first time that the company has held its SL Congress simultaneously with its National Sales Convention (NASCON).
The event highlighted the brand’s expertise in product categories and they were featured in themed booths for the guests to try and experience. It made trying out the products and exploring the brand a lot more fun and interesting. Below are the booths that were present during the event.
As you can see, even at the vlog, we were welcomed by product experts at each and every booth to let us know more about the brand. It’s really cool because as we progress and as we get to each category, we get to discover a lot of new stuff from Avon.
The Personal Care and Color Theater was actually my favorite booth. Truth be told, it’s been a while since I’ve tried their lippies. I’ve been hunting our Avon lady and I can’t find her for months now. Yes, hunting is a word, I would use because my Mama wants to buy something for her as well and she can’t find her too, lol. I’ve been wanting to try those matte lipsticks! Daaaammnn…
The Home and Kids Market booth is definitely for the moms out there who would love to expand their kitchen, and also find some goodies for their kids.
You guys know that I love fashion accessories so you bet that I’m LIVING for this booth. Oh, and not to mention those chocolates! Yum.. Chocolates and jewelries? Who could ever refuse?
I And of course, we have your good ‘ol fashion accessories booth which features their really fab bags. I’ve always liked their bags in fact I’m currently using the one one that they gave us. They also have their Skincare booth. Trust me when I was there, all I could think of was that I wanna smell each and everyone of those products. I wanna smell if they’re as fruity as they seem, lol. Weird, no?
I And for our last stop, we have the Simply Pretty Picnic Park. I actually love this booth because it’s so pink and definitely very girly. Very appropriate for the product’s category/theme.
Would you believe that Avon has been around for more than 130 years? Wow.
