Bible Study Guide For All Ages – Review

How We Used This:

I used this with my daughter each morning. We did a lesson a day. The lessons takes us anywhere from 20 – 30 minutes depending on how much discussion we have. The lessons all flow very nicely. They build off each other. So your starting out by reviewing what you have learned. Then you go into a memory workout. Each memory workout has a song that goes with it. We didn’t have the songs so we didn’t do them. There are some things that apply to the Memory workout, for example you might be looking for things in your Bible, Reviewing the Bible Book Summary Card, Drawing a line under something important in the bible, telling a story using pictures, and more. Then you move on to a Guess What section that gives you some important facts. Then you will either have a section for a Time Line or Map activity. The Get Active is where you do an activity. The activity is based off the lessons your are learning. So far it has seemed that you need a group to be more effective. We have done a couple of them but not all of them. Then you Apply It through questions. We read a part in the Bible and then we answer the questions. You might even finish a story. I think my daughter kind of had a hard time with finishing them as she wasn’t sure what they were looking for as far as an answer. For the most part she got the just of it.

Then as you get into the actual Bible Study that is when the boxes remind me of comics. On the left it walks you through what you need to do in each box. Each box also has a bible verse to read. It is almost like it is comprehension answers you are giving. Sometimes there are extra questions for discussions. I think this part is really engaging when you are learning about the Bible. As you are sort of getting a visual in a sense.

The Teachers Book is set up the same way. It has the answers in it. It also has some helpful information to continue teaching the lesson. It also tells you what exercises to do with the wall map and wall timeline. I didn’t review those as I didn’t have room but I will talk about those in a second. I found the Teachers Book to be handy with some extra verses.

I really liked the Small Bible Book Summary Cards. They are nice visuals. For example we have been working in Genesis and Genesis means “beginning”. There are pictures on the front of the card that go along with what your focusing on in your study. I did ask my daughter what each of the pictures represented as we reviewed this card daily.

On the back of the card is a summary of what you are learning in detail. At the bottom of the card are Questions and they also have the answer. I really liked using this as it was great review. Yes it was a little repetitive daily, but your just reinforcing your knowledge of what your working on.

Now back to the Wall Timeline is 76″ x 25″ and the size of the three Wall Maps are: 38″ x 25″, 19″ x 25″, and 19″ x 25″. These would make fantastic visuals. The maps are unlabeled and they use reusable labels. I just didn’t think I had the room for them and I didn’t want to have them get ruined in the hall way on the wall. I like the fact that the maps and timelines are unlabeled and you use labels to label them, that are reusable. The product is actually called Unlabeled Wall Maps and Time Lines

My Over All Thought:

Bible Study Guides For All Ages is a very unique way of studying the Bible. You actually really get into the lessons and you learn how to apply what you learned right away. It also gives you extra things to think about as well. I like that your given a story to finish. If you think about the the reading you can apply that to your answer. I found this to be engaging with my daughter. I also found her to really enjoy it is as well.
