The Box Car Children – Island Surprise is a highly anticipated adaption of the popular children’s book of the same name. It stars Golden Globe Winning Actor Martin Sheen as James Alden, Oscar Winner J.K. Simmons as Dr. Moore, Dane DeHaan as the mysterious Joe, Joey King as Jesse Alden, Carter Sand as Benny Alden, Gil Birmingham as Lonan Browning, Griffin Gluck as Henry Alden, Stephen Stanton as Capt. Daniel, and Talitha Bateman as Violet. The film is based on one of the books from the beloved series by Gertrude Chandler Warner and is family friendly for all ages. The Box Car Children – Island Surprise follows the adventures of the orphaned Box Car Children as they spend their entire summer living on their Grandfather’s small, near uninhabited island. The one day after school event is a partner ship between Fathom Events, Shout! Kids, and Legacy Classics, and will offer movie goes an exclusive introduction with actor Griffon Gluck and Director Dan Chuba explaining the process of adapting the book to film, and the process of animating.
