U-pick farms in Tampa Bay are opening their fields once again for a fun and unique day out on the Farm with the kids! Right now, you can pick strawberries, vegetables, and even citrus.
Before you go, check each farm’s social pages or websites to ensure they are open as hours and dates change with weather and whether a crop is available for u-pick.

A few u-pick tips:
- Bring sunscreen and bug spray
- Bring cash. Some farms accept credit cards, but have cash on hand just in case.
- Wear closed-toed shoes when out on the farm.
- Pack plenty of water for everyone in your group. It can get hot in the fields (gotta love winter in Florida).
- Only pick ripe fruit and veggies. Strawberries will not continue to ripen once picked.
- Bring your own containers just in case. Some farms provide containers, but not all.

Dooley Groves in Ruskin: U-Pick Citrus Honeybells, pineapple oranges, and grapefruit

Check out this all-new u-pick experience in Tampa Bay! Bearss Groves is opening its 10-acre strawberry picking fields for the first time on March 8, 9, and 10! Stay tuned for future dates. Berries are $3 per pound. It’s $5 to enter the field and not pick. Bring cash since cash is preferred.
