Ekadashi in April 2023 – According to the Hindu calendar, Ekadasi is one of the important days in the Hindu religion observed by fasting on the eleventh tithi of each lunar month. Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. For a month Ekadashi comes twice during Sukla paksha (11th lunar day) and Krishna paksha (Waning moon).

Ekadashi is considered the most purest and sacred fasting. The Lord Vishnu’s devotees observe this fast with pure dedication on this particular day. Also believed that by observing the fast during Ekadashi, one can even find difficult rescue in the afterlife. They pronounce “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya” 108 times throughout the day of Ekadasi is considered the Significance of the day.

Steps for observing Varuthini Ekadashi 2023 :

Step 1: Wake up early morning, take a bath with pure water, and wear clean clothing.

Step 2: practicing Lord Vishnu’s-inspired meditation.

Step 3: Put Lord Vishnu’s image on your mana and cover a red or yellow cloth over it.

Step 4: Make a kalash with pure water and place it in your mana before doing the Pooja. cover a red cloth over the Kalash also.

Step 5: Bathe Lord Vishnu’s figure in pure water, and then cover him in pure clothing.

Step 6: Put the Lord Vishnu aarti and pray for his favor.

Step 7: After finishing the pooja, observe a fullday fast.

Step 8: On the second day, Feed the Brahmins and complete the procedures by giving some money to them.
