1. Basal body temperature pregnancy test:

Compared to the regular days, the body’s temperature rises during pregnancy. This is suitable only when the body is rested well; at that time, only the body attains the lowest body temperature. The best time to test this basal body temperature is to do it first thing after waking up in the morning.

Method: Place the basal body thermometer under the tongue for a few seconds. Now check the reading once you remove it. When the temperature is 37 degrees Celsius or 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, it might be because you are pregnant. If the temperature is below 37 degrees Celsius or 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, you are not pregnant.

2. Bleaching powder pregnancy test:

The bleaching powder pregnancy test method is one of the easiest ones. The items needed for this test method are glass, bleaching powder, and urine samples collected in the early morning. Put some bleaching powder in the glass, add the urine sample, and wait. When the urine touches the bleaching powder, there will be foam and bubbles, and lots of frizzling. If this reaction happens, it means you are pregnant. On the other hand, if there is no reaction when the urine sample touches the bleaching powder, you are not pregnant.

Note: While trying this method, maintain a safe distance from the bleaching powder. Also, avoid inhaling the bleaching powder, as they are toxic and harmful to health.

3. Dandelion leaves pregnancy test:

This method is considered one of the accurate methods to check pregnancy at home. You need a collected urine sample (early morning sample), plastic cover, and dandelion leaves for this test. In the plastic sheet, place the leaves of the dandelion and pour the urine sample above it. It is not suitable to put the plastic sheet under direct sunlight.

After pouring the urine, wait for 10 minutes. The dandelion leaves turn reddish-brown color or form bubbles if you are pregnant. If there are no visible changes in the leaves, you are not pregnant.

4. Dettol pregnancy test:

Dettol is an antiseptic liquid used for medicinal purposes. However, this liquid can also be used as a pregnancy tester. You need a clean plastic container, a tablespoon of Dettol, and a urine sample collected in the early morning for this test.

Take 3 tablespoons of urine sample in the plastic container and mix one tablespoon of Dettol in it. Let the solution rest for 7 minutes. After 7 minutes, if the Dettol separates from urine and forms a separate layer, you are pregnant. If there is no change in the solution, you are not pregnant.

5. Mustard powder pregnancy test:

Mustard powder generates heat in the body and helps get rid of delayed periods. The things needed for this method are mustard powder and a bathtub filled with warm water. Add about half to 3/4th cup of mustard powder to the warm water in the bathtub.

Immerse yourself in the warm bath for about 20 minutes. Wait for the next three days and see if you have your regular periods. If after 3 days there is no sign of periods, it means you are pregnant. If there is a period after that mustard powder bath, you are not pregnant.

6. Salt pregnancy test:

Take a clean plastic cup and collect the urine sample in the early morning. Now to that cup, add 2 pinches of salt. Do not keep the cup under direct sunlight. Wait for three minutes to see the results. If there is any formation of tiny white clumps, you are pregnant.

If there is no reaction in that cup, you are not pregnant.

7. Shampoo pregnancy test:

A shampoo pregnancy test is considered one of the most convenient pregnancy tests. This method needs water, shampoo, a clean plastic bowl, and a urine sample collected early morning.

Mix water and two drops of water in the plastic bowl, and mix in gently to avoid foam formation. Now, add the urine sample to the mixture and wait for the reaction.

If the mixed solution forms bubbles and foam, you are pregnant. However, if there is no reaction to the answer, you are not pregnant.

8. Soap pregnancy test:

A soap pregnancy test is one of the quickest and easiest pregnancy tests. Any type of soap can be used for this method.

You need soap, a clean plastic bowl, and a urine sample collected in the early morning for this method. In the wide bowl, place the soap, and pour the urine sample above it. If there is any reaction in the bowl, like foam formation and bubbles, you are pregnant. If there is no reaction, it means you are not pregnant.

9. Storing urine pregnancy test:

Collect your urine sample early in the morning. Next, take a clean glass jar and transfer the urine sample to the jar. Now, store the glass jar away for about 24 hours.

If there is a positive result, there will be a thin layer formed on the surface of the stored sample. Conversely, if there is no presence of any film layer, it means you are not pregnant.

10. Sugar pregnancy test:

Sugar pregnancy is considered one of the easiest methods as it is readily available in our home pantry. This test needs a urine sample collected early in the morning, a clean plastic bowl, and a tablespoon of sugar. In the plastic bowl, add the sugar and pour the urine sample.

Sugar will not be dissolved in the urine due to the presence of Hcg. You are pregnant if there are any lumps present in the sample. If the sugar easily dissolves in the urine sample, you are not pregnant.

11. Toothpaste pregnancy test:

Toothpaste pregnancy tests are considered one of the most accurate ones. For this method, only white toothpaste should be used. Any other toothpaste other than whites won’t give the correct results because colored toothpaste consists of chemicals.

This method requires a clean plastic bowl, two tablespoons of white toothpaste, and a urine sample collected early in the morning. In the bowl, pour the urine sample, and add some wheat and barley seeds. Let the wheat and barley seeds germinate for two days. If after two days the sources have germinated means, you are pregnant. On the other hand, if they are not sprouted even after two days, you are not pregnant.
