You guys, we love Paw Patrol – we really do.  But we’ve seen them all so many times. Puppy Dog Pals too, over and over.  So, I was very pleased when I stumbled onto Bluey on DisneyPlus.  It’s such a fun cartoon for kids.  My kids love cartoons about dogs,  I love cartoons about dogs.  Does everyone love cartoons about dogs?   

Bluey is an Australian cartoon, and the accents are just so cute.  But it’s more than a cute Australian dog family.  It’s modern, quirky, clever and charming.  The mum and dad dog are surprisingly real for cartoon dogs.  They are silly and sarcastic, they laugh at each other and with each other.  The children are Bingo and Bluey, they are sisters.  They play and fight, just like my two boys.  It’s refreshing to see it portrayed in such a loveable way.  

The Fatherhood has a great top 10 list of the best Bluey episodes, I agree with his choices too! 

The only thing my kids like more than watching the cute cartoon, is playtime.  Kids enjoy pretend play and they need pretend play.   Play is your child’s full time job, their occupation.  But this playtime is teaching skills and helping them navigate through big emotions.

My boys Oli and Milo were gifted free Bluey Toys from Moose Toys.  I got the email and was so excited that Target was getting the line and that Moose Toys was the creator.  We are big fans of Moose Toy products in general.  They are well made and even my wild kids haven’t been able to destroy them.   The boys were sent the Bluey Heeler 4WD Family Vehicle, the Best Mate Bluey Plush, and the Mini Playsets.   

Obviously I loved the plush the best, but the boys went straight for the playsets and family vehicle.  They have been acting out scenes from the show and creating their own story lines since the package arrived.  I love watching their episodes, with cute spins on the fun family antics.  I also love their Australian accent impressions, it’s the worst wonderful sound you will hear.   

The toys are on Target’s shelves now and online!  They are also going to be getting some new toys on July 27th! The Bluey toys will hit all of the other retailers early in August.
