Being Thankful 2021

It’s been a long and busy year here at our kennels. Life is always changing and never stands still. This year I am Thankful to make it through another year. We had to say good-bye to a couple of our girls in January. We lost Chloee January 22nd and then just a week later January 29th  Nala went over the rainbow bridge as well. Both were different circumstances. Chloee had liver cancer and I spent the whole week she was in the hospital taking her favorite food to her to get her to eat. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. Thanking God it happen that way for the vet had told me the day before that we was going to have to make a decision on what was best for her and I just didn’t know how I was going to get through making that hard choice. We only found out that week as she had never showed symptoms of being sick. Nala was happy one moment and 30 minutes later had passed away. Heart attack most likely cause our vet said. We had not officially announced these deaths until now because it’s been too hard to talk about for us.

You can’t take anything for granted. You have to cherish every day you have on this earth. I may not understand why they were taken so soon from us but I will still be grateful for the time I had with them. I am very thankful for my whole family. I am thankful for all our customers who have given our babies such great homes. I may be most thankful for puppy breath. Remember “If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get.” How can one live under those circumstances and ever find happiness?

I hope this holiday finds you and your family with plenty of joy and happiness. I hope you can look at your life and find plenty to be thankful for. From our family to yours Happy Thanksgiving!

In Loving memory of our girls Chloee and Nala you will be forever missed. The Journey was more important than the destination. You will never know how many sleepless nights I have had missing you both.

Gone but not forgotten.
