It’s getting close to the holiday seasons again. Another year has flew by and as always things change. We lost our Alfa female Jordan this past February. I am still not over it and I don’t guess I ever will be. I can always think about what I might have done different to save her but that won’t change the outcome now. When you loose a pet your natural reaction is to hold tight to the ones you still have. I think we take every day we have with our pets sometimes for granite. Being a breeder we see these realities some times even though we do everything in our power to prevent it. From puppies to adult dogs we are just a moment away at any time that something may happen beyond our control.
This brings me back to thoughts about what a great life I have with my Huskies. I Love my wife, kids, and family, but part of that family is my huskies and other family dogs. These dogs are loyal and love to spend every minute of their day with me. Even on a day your dog doesn’t feel it’s best, you will still get a tail wag from them. There is still nothing in the world like the unconditional love from a dog. When you come through the door every evening or have been gone only for 10 minutes you will be greeted with love. “Oh my gosh I have missed you and I am so glad you came back home” it seems to be what they are relating to us.
A dog will keep you healthy. Research has shown that living with a dog will bring down your blood pressure, reduce our anxiety, and boost your immune system. If you take them for a walk it will help your health and can even get you a date if your single! Guys, women flock to a husky puppy on a string. It wont even be fair.
Dogs will always find a way to make us laugh. That is a great thing. The best part is a dog will always need us even when the kids grow up and move on.
