How To Keep Positive Through Challenging Times

There will be times when things are challenging. There will be times when we might just want to stop, perhaps just wait for the problems to be over, maybe give up on our dreams altogether. However, if you can keep positive even though times are tough, you can keep going, and you can do so much more. It’s not easy, and it isn’t always possible (these are the times when you might require a doctor’s care), but if you can, then you should. Read on to find out how you can keep positive through Challenging Times in your life, in your work, or at school.    Image from Pixabay Keep A Routine  It might sound terribly dull to have to keep a routine even when you’re finding things difficult, but the truth is that when you have a routine to follow, it can make a huge difference to how you feel, especially if you start that routine the moment you wake up. By doing this, you will be setting the tone for the day. It might be tempting, for example, to sleep in because you don’t have to go anywhere or do anything, or because you think it might make you feel better, but if you get up early, you’ll – surprisingly – feel more energized and will be more inclined to do things in your day.  Plus, the more you can engage with a routine that you don’t have to think about, the more you can focus on other things, such as dealing with the issue you’re facing. Trying to hide away from the problem will just make it worse (and make it last longer), so the more energy you can put into dealing with it, the better.  Limit Social Media  When you are having a hard time, limiting your screen time concerning social media can be a great way to make yourself feel more positive. Social media certainly has its good points and can be a positive force when used correctly. However, it can also be highly negative, which can impact you even if you don’t realize it.  If the first thing you do in the morning is to grab your phone or log onto your laptop and scroll through Twitter or Facebook, you might be making the day much more negative than it needs to be. Rather than doing this, just concentrate on your own routine, as mentioned above, and only look at social media when you feel good.  Write A Blog If you want to get online in the mornings, why not make it count for something and write a blog? In the beginning, blogs were used as a kind of online diary. Over time they have evolved into something else, something often used for business when combined with SEO. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t create a blog to write down your thoughts and opinions if you want to.   The great thing is, you don’t even need to have anyone read it – you can keep it entirely private and just let your inner thoughts come up. Writing things down is a great way to stay positive, and it will help you get your thoughts in order. If you make it public, you might even help others going through the same things as you.
