Components of a Top Tier Mobile App

Discussing the need to build sleek, top-performing Apps is one thing. Actually knowing what is involved is something else altogether because there are many components of a top Tier Mobile App that you will need to consider, such as memory assignment or information privacy. Other features include such things as offering something unique or attending to your audience’s specific needs while making your app exhilarating enough to encourage users to repeatedly use your app for educational, business, or recreational purposes.

1. Optimized

Unfortunately, one of the realities that mobile users face is the fact that their phones have limited memory. Consequently, a top-tier app should only use memory when there is a specific need to do so. In other words, app developers should be judicious about how many objects are placed into an app as each one increases the app’s overall draw on RAM.

2. Aesthetics

Although the style of an app might not necessarily be a measurable feature, the top apps simply look good. They appeal to the imagination or to the senses, and they complement the purpose of the app. Of course, excellent style or an imaginative aesthetic can be accomplished in a variety of ways, but many of the common methods include the following.

  • Rich colors with contrast
  • Components that stand out from the rest of the background
  • A font that does not get in the way of performance or readability
  • Clever or ironic usage of art or images
  • Clean UI

Obviously, these so-called rules are only guidelines because they do not hold true in every app. For instance, in terms of clean UI, a paintball app or a true-crime trivia app might look better with a dirty, grunge style fit for shooting zombies or reporting on macabre subject matter, respectively.

3. Novelty

When it comes to apps, the best ones lead the pack, as they say, in originality. Of course, following the release of a truly innovative app, people will copy it, but there are always certain types of apps that were first in their respective fields. For instance, Fortnite was not the first 100-player, mega-tense, battle royale. It was, however, the first to exploit the idea of building forts for strategic defense. As difficult as it might seem, it is important to attempt to build some type of unique value into your app.

4. Security

Security involves the ability to keep the app safe from hackers, and it also involves the ability to protect or responsibly use customer information. Some types of apps revolve around protection against hackers. Bitcoin market apps, for instance, must be able to protect increasingly valuable digital investments. However, some apps that are fairly secure, such as Facebook, must convince people that their information is not being sold to the dark web. In each case, top apps are able to integrate technological and personal protections into the app in ways that foster customer loyalty. Two ways to do this include the following.

  • Use SSL to encrypt all informational or financial transactions
  • Build identity verification into the app

5. Interaction

Since the mobile app user experience is the most important aspect that determines the app’s success, your app must engage your user. If it is a game app, for instance, it should always be requiring something of a player’s fingers or mind. This type of interaction is called engaging the user. You can also engage a user with an informational app by including new information that is not easily available.

Other ways to embed interaction into your app is to include choice. Being able to choose between options will allow users to consume an app on their terms. Finally, top apps include input. Input is important because it gives users a voice. Without voice, the app requires users to be passive.

6. No Dull Moments

Top apps avoid one thing: boredom. Although you cannot necessarily build adrenaline into your app, you can test it on a market and assess for boredom. With the right testing questionnaire, you can pinpoint aspects of your app that do not pique any interest.

7. Push

Any iteration of a good app is not the final iteration. In fact, nimble publishing is a way for app developers to publish a workable app and develop it as the user base grows. Consequently, users require what is known as a push notification that informs them when an update is forthcoming or when one has been completed. With these updates, new features, information, or access might be available. Such updates are important because they keep users returning to the app. Without something as simple as a push notification, users can get distracted with their individual lives and never return to your app.

8. Growth

When it comes to one of the most under-utilized components of a top tier mobile app, growth might be that component. Building growth into an app combines the aforementioned feedback or voice with the simple act of obtaining contact information, such as an email address.

By collecting email addresses, you can compile a list of loyal app users and actually build new updates to their tastes. Of course, the aforementioned need for informational privacy is also required if you are to earn your users’ trust. However, with the appropriate requisites in place, you can build an email list, which enables you to grow your app and business.
